St Petersburg nightlife

I'm in St. Pete for the week to watch some baseball, wondering if there are any decent nightspots here. Done the drive to Clearwater beach a few nights, but the drive back down is a killer. Any suggestions? We're up for anything, dosen't have to be trance-specific. Hip-hop, or whatever is also fine...

bar life might be the more apt term here. anyways at clearwater there is a bar on the beach called Shepards, i think the inside turns into a niteclub on the weekends, probably for spring break too. i dont know its been awhile since ive been there.
