So i'm now listening to sasha's involver CD...

...and cand describe by words how beautiful and well-mixed piece of music it is!
guys, recommend me some mixcopmilations like that one please! or maybe some producers i should check out to hear more music like this one (in any way).
and one more question, it it true that sasha's taste of music has changed and now he's playing the same mainstream house tracks like everyone's playing? that would be sad.

i dont listen to that much new stuff but it seemed like his set on NYE was a bunch of unknown tracks as well as some that people knew, haha i only knew one song that night though. involver is awesome too.

Yeah Involver is great.. except the last 2 tracks..

try

Pole Folder - Zero Gold
Way Out West - Don`t Look Now CD 2
Trafik - Bullet

other than the obvious ones, Involver is pretty damn good.

I fail to see how that's anything like Involver.

+1, the style, sound, and concept is nothing like involver.

Sasha @ Aria Montreal 2004

Check www.edmm.ca, the set should be up on there somewhere.

Agreed. I thought Fundacion went nowhere.

If the guy wanted to visit the "DJ Mixes" section of http://www.discogs.com/artist/Sasha, I think he would have. See Mr. Mystery above.

Big fan of Involver....at least the first half of it. the ending....not so much

Posted by Clovis on Mar-20-2007 16:15:

I think the problem with the Involver ending is that it tries to build up to what Sasha would do at the end of his set, but in only 20 minutes as opposed to 2 hours at the club...

Posted by Alex on Mar-20-2007 17:32:

Sasha tore it in half in Montreal last week, the concept of May + Forbes opening for him is a pure awesomeness one, because they sure as hell dont start off slow!

Which basically means Sasha wasnt playing melodic stuff, nor did he bust out much minimal.

But ya, Involver rules, Involver 2 will rule and it is due to come out in the not SO distant future me thinks, and pretty much every other album he did pwnz.

A lot of people knock fundacion, but he popularized quite a few of those tunes, I mean all of a sudden every time I went out to see a prog DJ in 2005-2006 I was hearing electromagnetic and jah. Not to mention the further acclaim Goldfrapp recieved from both Sasha AND Diggers. Cant forget Ewan Pearson or Carl Craig either, fuck man that album was STACKED with GREAT tunes by great producers.

I think the problem with the Involver ending is that a computer voice keeps saying "I am not a cyber whore"... That track was a black eye on the CD.
