More accurate pitch control, more fine-tuned platter adjustment, etc.

I suggest you try them out before buying.

Plus wav display. That thing just plain rock, esp. if you're playing tunes that you don't know.

hot cues... Still learning how to properly use that. lol

But if you're not going to do anything fancy, stick with 800s. It does the job. (or even 200s if you want to save money and spend more on a better mixer)

I love my MK3's, but I started digitally with CDJ-200's and to be honest if you don't care about vinyl mode, you could save more by purchasing these. They're deceivingly good!

whats the diff of vinyl mode and cd.. i still havent gotten it. ill soon be in the same boat, and am deciding whether to go new 200s, used 800s, or if i win the lottery 1000s. im leaning towards the used 800s

vinly mode lets u cue and scratch like its an actual record. i find it very very useful but a lot of people dont even use it when its available.

You can't go wrong purchasing either of them. If you've got the money - go with the mk3 if not go with the mk2.

Actually I take back my advice. If you really want to put everyone in their place, buy the DVJ's!
