Oakie has picked some weird collabs this time. Perry Ferrell....ain't he the dude from pornos for pyros who spins jungle music in his spare time. But the nelly furtado with tricky song sounds cool.....i want to hear that one because nelly furtado OWNS. Interesting to see what oakenfold has made in the studios with all these people.

Perry Farrel might be from porno for pyros but I think he's most famous for being the lead singer in Jane's Addiction. [/hijack]

anyways, this album looks.......well interesting but I am definitly gonna check it out.

Jane's Addiction.....oh yes....he was the lead singer......shows you how much i know of rock singers.

Confused hmm

sounds interesting...lets just wait and see what happens with this album

Hunter S. Thompson?? He's a writer. I wonder how that will turn out.

I hear the first single is gonna be "Ready Steady Go" with Asher D.

Isnt this topic suposed to be in "CD Reviews / New Releases Discussion" page??

Posted by failsafe on Apr-05-2002 21:33:

janes addiction broke up and then morphed into porno for pyros. Not that I'm a rock guru, just had a friend that was really into them.

I wonder if this CD is going to be mixed? Really i dont care, but it would be cool if it is.

Posted by Devbert on Apr-05-2002 23:32:

Very odd. Gotta check it out at least.

I've only heard Southern Sun... but yes, it does look rather interesting. I'll give it a go anyway, and try to be open-minded about it.

Posted by Nell on Apr-06-2002 13:46:

theres some really thick people. on ebay this guy paid 103 for southern sun promo and is bidding 82 on bunkka promo. I got both for 20. seems as tho i should buy another few copies and flog them off to thick people like that (i hope hes not a TA)

I'm not very optimistic. I see Ice Cube on the collaborations list and I think it's gonna suck.

Posted by b0bb0 on Apr-06-2002 16:15:

I think the collaboration with Ice cube might be interesting, i've been waiting for rap and electronic music to come closer together.. I think it'd make an awesome genre if it could be made right!

I guess so if you dont like rap I like ALL genres of music except country. If he oakey ever touches on country with electronic/dance ill have to smack him in the head hehe
