if they leave it completely unsecured, take it. they are obviously looking for people to make a LAN for counterstrike. join
when you are done, try putting in:
192.168.0.1
or
192.168.0.0
or
i forget the other brands
and for the username and password try:
admin/admin
admin/(no password)

and then block all their ports

and then go to their house and say you can fix it for $20

Stealing something that's not yours is still stealing. That should set you straight.

Hope you get caught and prosecuted to the furthest extent of the law.

I'm sure I read a post on TA ages ago that said a US judge had ruled that if you didn't password protect your wireless your were providing a public service.

Posted by Sushipunk on Mar-24-2007 11:51:

Look, it's all in your head. Just a matter of perspective. Seriously, you're not stealing anything! They don't OWN the internet, do they? You're just borrowing some internet time from them, and giving back to the world with your...I dunno...awesome posts or something.

awesome logic. let's forget then that the neighbor pays for his intr4w3bs by his own money earned by giving his labor to the world. On the other hand, this bum wants to leech off his intranets from someone else without having to do the labor. He'll have to pay back some other way. Maybe by donating some of his time to jail.

then we are opportunist criminals.

kind of like the make-believe term "temporarily insane"

btw, has it ever been explained why the RIAA sues families with no internet connection at all for downloading illegal music?
I can understand if someone honestly doesn't download pirated music (guy drives up near their house, enters network/breaks encryption, downloads all Michael Jackson CDs, leaves, RIAA traces shit to homeowner's router, omg lawsuit).
but i don't understand about people who don't even have internet

Posted by igottaknow on Mar-24-2007 22:19:

Didn't Al Gore once got caught trying to steal the internet?

No.

That shit would be so squished and dirty by the time it'd make it to my side of the house, I'd be better off going hungry.
