Best Speakers to Listen to Trance

So I want to listen to Trance really loud in my house but I want the best quality with lots of bass.
Are PA Speakers the best choice or Bose or what??

search for the ones which come with a complementary hearing aid for deafness.

I can't afford Bose. What is the alternative?

Depends on the size of your house, but I'd say PA speakers might be overkill, plus you may have neighbours
You'd probably be better off getting a really top-end hifi from one of those premium brands...at the minute I just use my Mackie monitors for listening to music, really clear sound.

Then don't bother getting anything expensive, they'll probably just get trashed.

Mackie monitors are very nice. My roommate has some and they sound great.

I have some JBLs that do the job well. Normally I just listen to music on my Sennheiser headphones, though.

Bose are overpriced horseshit.

If you are looking to have parties at college you need something like this:

They will be loud as fuck and not overly expensive. You will of course need an amp to drive them. My friend had these in college, if you want bass you can feel in a room full of people you need at least a 10 or 12 inch driver

agree. you're paying for the name with Bose speakers. Some of their stuff sounds nice, but for the price you can get much better quality elsewhere.

for that you need this:

you want incedibly loud, great quality and cheap?
how about you start with a budget and work from there?
do you have a decent amp to power these speakers?

Posted by vendicate on Mar-24-2007 03:53:

Wow Thanks for the great advice Xanax. I now have a direction to go..
I am looking to spend no more then $2000..

Posted by tubby on Mar-24-2007 04:12:

that budget will get you some pretty decent gear, much better than bose. would you prefer good sound over loud? hife over PA gear?

my speakers (revel F12a) retail in US for about US$1000 and i highly recommend them. leaves a bit for source and amp.

It has to be loud enough to accomodate a crowd of 100 drunk loud people. I am looking for very good quality otherwise I would buy a $200 PA. I would like to convert many people where I live (Pittsburgh, PA) from mainstream hiphop to trance, so I want to present them with the best sound quality with nice bass.

Don't forget. Anything the police say is a hate crime against your race.
If they are telling you to turn it down its slang for we hate you and think your race should goto hell. Same goes for if anyone knocks.
