-- Ayumi Hamasaki - Ayu Trance
Ayumi Hamasaki - Ayu Trance
Never listened to a such big amount of GREAT trance music (on a single cd) wasted by vocals
... and they're in japanese too ...
Maybe it's just me not able to appreciate it
but imho if you cut vocals from those songs you end up with a very good trance cd.
Every single track on the cd is remixed by a spingod (Ferry, AVB, Push, System F, Darren Tate, Svenson & Gielen, Marc & Claude, Voodoo & Serano, Above & Beyond, Dumonde etc.) and wasted by vocals
I'll try to listen to it a couple times ... maybe it gets better ...
Lemme know what you think about it pls ![]()
i don't like the vocals either, but there are dub mixes of most the tracks on Ayu Trance album.. so u should try to find them. Many of them can be found on AG.
It's a great cd ruined by short tracks (most only 4 minutes long.. there's still plenty of room on the cd damnit!) and slightly annoying vocals. The fact that many djs are spinning these tracks and their dub versions (Pvd for example) already speaks for the quality of these tracks. Highly recommend this cd if you're willing to pay the import prices... try cdjapan.co.jp and order some of Ferry Corsten's japan only releases while you're there too...
am i the only one who likes the vocals? i think she has such a cute voicee! okay i'm a big japan and asia fan, probably of that i like it
but the tracks are too short....i hope a long version of unite! will be released (another one than the airwave dub, this sucks)
I love Trauma [Dumonde Dub Mix]
i got the CD today!
i listen to this album all the time, Ayu has a beautiful voice, but i know i wouldnt like the vocals if it was one of Ayumi Hamasakis' J- Pop albums. i love this album, especially M "A&B remix". and when i heard it @ CyberTrance the crowd went into a frenzy. if you do like it, then ELT Trance is also a must have, its basically the same as Ayu Trance but different vocals and songs. I think Ayu Trance was better though.
I like ELT-Cyber trance more than ayumi's cyber trance. not only is the remixes better, the vocals are less annoying.

True, true, I'm not much of a fan of the vocals myself
she speaks Romaji .... not japanese. and i think the vocals are amazing if you read the translations. they have more meaning then any american trance vocals i have heard. i do agree i wish they were longer though....
Beavis Buffalo: wat d'u mean she speaks romaji? of course she speaks japanese! she IS a japanese!!
btw i think her voice's great, dunno y some ppl dun like it bcoz it's in japanese
It is romaji... and the vocals are a lot better then american trance vocals... they were written for original non trance songs afterall...
What is it with these romaji?????
Ayu is japanese and sings in japanese!!!!!
What we call romaji is the transliteration of japanese into occidental alphabet.
For example, in japanese to write the word 'book', you use a symbol (like chinese symbols) which means 'book'. This symbol is pronounces 'hon' and in occidental alphabet, Japanese people write it 'hon'. This last writing in occidental alphabet is what we call romaji. But nobody talks or sings in romaji, as romaji is a type of writing and not a language!!
So when you sarch for Ayumi HAMASAKI's lyrics on a website, and when you see 'lyrics in romaji', that doesn't mean that the lyrics are not in japanese but in a 'romaji' language, that only means that the lyrics are written in occidental alphabet, so that not-japanese people can read them.

shito: thank you!!!!!! that's wat i've been trying to say!! i couldnt reply the msg bcoz i was updating my profile and waiting for the activation.
d'u guys even know wat's romaji? romaji is the romanization of japanese words!!! and wat she speaks, sings, is JAPANESE!
if u says she sings romaji, it's just like if i asked u wat language u speak, u answered "i speaking english words", "i speak english letters", or "i speak chinese characters", get it now??
I have to agree with the vocals. Something in French is nice, Portuguese (which might not please to all), Germain sometimes but the Oriental languages or what ever Romanji is really creeps the songs. No intention to offend, this is a regional stuff, I hated the single he produced with Ferry Corsten - Connected. The vocals screwed it up becasue the melody was nice. I think that the oriental languages have trop high tones and silabes which don't go too well. Well, I wish I could like it but I don't.
