Review: Sander K @ Space Terrace???

So I didn't give a shit about PVD playing space but I did want to go to Space for Sander k's Terrace set, I bought the 5AM pass thinking most of the people would be leaving PVD to get some sleep before ultra yadda yadda yadda

I got to space around 6am, got in no problem but they didn't let anyone on the terrace! I stood there lined up with a bunch of people pushing forward to get on the terrace for 2.5hrs before I said fuck it and left. I'm sorry but that is some bullshit, I've been to WMC before, I've done the pre-party ticket things many times. I just think event coordinators and party throwers need to do something about charging $55 for 5AM tickets to ensure that those holders are paying for Sander K and not PVD. It seemed to me that everyone at PVD stayed for Sander's terrace set.

Ok enough of my bitching and whining..

Anyone have any review of Sander's terrace set? It was the only party I was looking forward to and I didn't even get a chance to set a foot on the steps going up to the terrace...how fucking sad is that!

thats space and the fire marshalls for you. in 2005 it took us 1.5 hours to get inside space, another hour to get in the main room, and yet another hour and a half to get up to the terrace.

im so fucking glad i sold my pvd/sander ticket.

we worked our way up onto the terrace pretty easily...rode the VIP lead to the front of the crowd, then worked the security guy to get through the door.

sander was dirty, so so dirty. his set last night was unreal as well (as was rene amesz').

i was there in 05 and i got in waiting at most 35mins. then again i went at like 11pm friday night.

im really pissed about not being let into Sander K on the terrace, they should never advertise tickets for that price at that time if they do plan on having over sold the event. i know there isn't anything you can do perse about saying you didn't get to the terrace, fact is though there shouldn't be an escalated price throughout the night just to get in.

try contacting wantickets about a refund, they are suprisingly good about situations like that.

how crowded was it on the terrace around 830? thats when i gave up and was officially pissed...i kinda made a scene leaving the club saying the terrace is closed and that people shouldn't go in and save themselves some money.

we stayed til about 11 and it was still rammed...

tried to avoid the BS and got there around 1130. waited in the mainroom til about 130 and got up to the terrace. pretty much had the whole dancefloor to myself Rene brought it. left real early though. 04 and 05 are still tops on my list respectively

how you gonna make someone pay $55 @ 5AM when the main room is empty with some resident playing there while everyone is trying to get into the terrace?

if that was the case, they should have a private entrace for those paying after 5AM if they plan on charging a premium $55 which was more then what PVD cost for the main room.

Sucks to hear that... I got there around 1am, went straight to the Terrace for Rene Amesz, who was throwing down some sick beats for a warmup... he really impressed me. Sander came on around 5 I guess? I was dancing my ass off until 2pm, when we decided to leave... I heard from Brian that he finally went off around 2:30 pm. The place was still JUMPING... I swear that guy is made for that system there. He was unbelievable. I have some vids I'll post in the NYC section in the upcoming days. He dropped some amazing remix of Daft Punk - 'Around the World' that killed it.

i knew he was ripping it up there, he rips the terrace EVERY YEAR. I might actually go down next year just for that party and only that party. In the previous years, Friday was my real "WMC" since I got my radio1@nikki beach for free, then head over to space for some p dizzle then close it proper with sander on the terrace...didn't care much for ultra or anything else...

ive seen just about every sander set at SPACE and that one was by far the most rediculuzz set ever. so dirty nonstop energy. every sander veteran there agreed. for me and my tastes that was the best set ive ever seen at space (and i dont miss many shows) a masterpiece from start to finish, not one crappy song, and a kick ass flow of very dirty beats. the terrace wasnt "morillo crowded" you had room to dance. sander closed it down at 2:15. i have alot videos and i will post the links once i can get em up on youtube. l

Bro after 230 they didnt let anyone move downstairs. Fucking bull rip off assholes at that club.

i got there at like 12:15ish, there was no line suprisingly because the event was sold out and only online tickets were being taken i think. anyways i go in, edgar was sounding decent then pvd went on at like 2 adn i immediately ran upstairs cuz pvd just blows imho these days..rene amesz was just starting to rip it..then i tryed getting my friend downstairs to go upstairs and the bouncer said no1 can go downstiars too many people so i was like eff it, im staying up here rest of the night. def the best decision i made, considering ppl are telling me they couldnt go upstairs after 5 or so am. sander def played a more harder and darker set.

some sick tracks banged out.. he dropped the dave spoon remix of magenta (seems to be the track of the confrence, heard it at least 5-6 times) he also played a dope edit of shlomi aber - crop duster with a vocal on top..that def went offff. also an insane rmeix of daft punk around the world..any1 know who did that remix?

anyways was a solid night, i left at around 11:30ish, slept for like 2 hours then hit up the beatport pool party.

Every year its the same situation on Sander/PvD night. Space during WMC is horrible especially this night.

The Around the World mix was probably the mashup with Chris Lake - Changes that's been around for a few weeks...he played it right at the end of his LMR set at Shine last night as well.
