Hi there! You should come to CIRCUS this Saturday. It's a mega-club, you can get in for FREE, and you can also eat some gooood Mexican food in case you get the munchies!

Re: Hi California

Don't go to Circus. The sound system is terrible and the club is grungy. Hit up Vanguard for Danny Howells instead. Arguably one of the best nights in LA.

If you're visiting LA, I strongly recommend Vangaurd on Saturday night.

Email [email protected] to put yourself on the discount guest list.

hahahaha.... Don't believe anything Bas says, he's full of hot air!

There's been a big improvement with the sound system! AND... CIRCUS has the BEST vibe and the best tacos!

LOL im going to be quite honest for all the LA and SD clubs that any of us go to.

Circus: best food and best crowd. havent been in a while so unsure about sound improving but last i was there (about 3 months ago), there were MAJOR problems. also good drink prices. always go upstairs to Ernesto for drinks. strongest drinks in the place. guest list [email protected]

Vanguard: great sound, great setup, expensive drinks, and crowd is ok. guestlist [email protected]

Avalon: similar sound system as vanguard but HORRIBLE eq compared to vanguard. HORRIBLE crowd. drink prices similar to circus. horrid security also. they are just plain assholes. guestlist [email protected]

Belo (San Diego): Great setup look wise. crowd is hit or miss. sound system has been horrid of late but this past friday was good. drink prices are same as circus. its small so very intimate. hot chicks there too. guestlist [email protected]

On Broadway (San Diego): venue isnt bad but the list people suck. the crowd is ok but not my preferred crowd. not sure of what the guestlist address is.

thats pretty much everything in LA and SD that people frequent.

It's been 3 mos already? Well there have been some MAJOR improvements lately and I'm not full of hot air.
You forgot to mention the cool & friendly security along with the staff there. Parking is pretty cheap also compared to other places. There's also the big outdoor patio and plenty of places to chill outside as well as inside.

Eagle can check it out and decide whether he likes the place or not and can always leave to also check out the other places as well... which they're all kinda close. Oh and he can also get Bass a couple of tacos.

now that i think about it maybe not 3. prolly 2. ever since last supper.

and yes the security is very nice and polite. parking is easy and average price if not free (if you park on the street like me), the patio is a nice place to chill even if you dont smoke! you can get fresh air out there.

ill have to make it over there to hear this "improved" sound system/eqing. last i was there the sound was royally fucked. speakers not working, bass overpowering the rest of the sound, monitors not working properly. it was horrendous.

A full time qualified sound tech has been given his assignment!

So far so good!

Posted by Clovis on Mar-27-2007 20:51:

Are you saying its better than Funktion 1 or that they tried their best to make shit speakers sound good?

And mate, I cant recall exactly what music you're into, (i know minilogue is one). What exactly do you want to hear? Trance? Prog? Psy? Tech House/techno/house?

Posted by KarenLuvs2Party on Mar-27-2007 20:55:

I would think when it comes to traveling, you should go to the club for its VENUE. DJ's move all around the country and world, venues however do not.

I think since all 3 clubs (Circus, Avalon, and Vanguard) are all by each other. Party hop!! Get to Circus and stay till about 1:00AM (if you go early enough it's free), hit up Vanguard and stay till close, and go to Avalon at 4:00AM =).

There case solved!

PSYCIRCLE PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS:::

TRIACONTAGON

MARCH 30-31 2007

Outdoor psychedelic trance event not far from LA in the Mojave desert.

Come celebrate life and nature under the stars with a deep psychedelic trance to provide aural trip acceleration.
This small and intimate event will be held in a very remote area perfect for an all weekend congregation of dancers, stompers and shamans. Friday night we will have guests TBA come and perform. Saturday night into Sunday morning the following Sonic Manipulators will be performing:::

...BODHI *** ARAHAT

.........MONKS OF MADNESS

.....GREENMAN *** DROPZONE

.................OMSK 411

.......and more TBA

The type of psytrance played at this event will be deep and heavy early in the night , moving to trippy and twisted , then crazy madness , then wackyness , then a few hours after sunrise smooth out with deep progressive psy , then finishing out with intricate broken and glitchy beats by Omsk 411 .

Fires and fire dancers welcomed and encouraged!
If everybody pitches in by bringing wood then we should have a nice heater to carry us through to the morning.

This event is dedicated to the number 30, as well as the golden birthday of a certain desert goddess.

Please leave all egos at home....just come and dance and experience the beauty of the desert. Be cautious if you choose to explore around the copper mines nearby.
Ask for cds! Ask for some trance magazines!

Psychedelic labels supporting these artists::
INSOMNIA; TRISHULA; DARKSTAR; D-A-R-K.net.; PSYCIRCLE; MISTRESS OF EVIL; GEOMAGNETIC.TV; COSMIC THEATRE; PSYBERTRIBE; PLUTONIC; ELEMENT OF TIME; TRUFFLE and so forth.

Precise coordinates and directions coming soon

Sound has been donated and will be maintained by master GREENMAN, and a nice generator and pickup truck by MARC and friends.

Origin of April Fools Day
http://am.novopress.info/?p=1610
An Amalgam of pagan rituals, of spring, of love, of fools, April Fools Day, also known as All Fools Day is still laden with mystery and joy, still prospers in this third millennium, fostered and protected by tradition. The reason is simple according to ancient Roman poet Horace its lovely to be silly at the right moment."

Carbon Based Lifeforms is my favorite right next to Shpongle. CBL is so spacey and open...it makes me feel like my head has floated away from my body.

fuck'n loud, clean, and didnt pierce your ears...
