Any Trance protest songs?

Alright I have to do this thing for school on protest songs(any genre obviously). They can be about anything (although I don't think Opression of machines counts so that rules out that). I can't really think of any Trance songs. I was hoping you guys could help me out.

Trance is about getting bent, jumping around to 4-4 at 130+bpm and glowsticks, unless it's that other kind of trance where you just get bent and lie around listening to it while the walls change colours. Nobody can be arsed protesting I don't think.

NWA - Express Yourself (Paul Oakenfold remix)

Succinctly put.

You cannot effectively mix an angst charged message with cuddly bunnies and unicorns.

To do so would cancel out all existence as we know it.

not trance but still an electronic protest song:

Fedde Le Grand - Put Your Hands Up For Detroit

This song reflects the social angst to be found in the city of Detroit.
But unlike regular protest songs were the lyrics are filled with the usual distressed message, the vocals here are a vehicle for hope, a beacon of shining light in this miserable city.
The song also strongly reflects on the social divide and the economic crisis which has stemmed from failing multinationals without a plan to carry the Detroit automotive industry into the current millenia.

You could say that C:\del*.mp3 by Marco V is a protest song against people downloading mp3's...

dunno tbh

Far from trance but:
Eric Prydz - Proper Education

That might work...

EDIT: Before i get flamed, obviously the original pink floyd track is miles better.

there was an old trance track which had a speech from george w bush from the september 11th attrocities in it. I'm not sure if that counts in any way, and I don't recall the name now.

Wouldn't surprise me if some psy trance has anti-corporate speech samples thrown in. Hell if I know which songs tho'.

Never really paid full attention to the vocals of the song, but maybe Reloop - Fucking society or I am completely away from what you are looking for?

Posted by Soeder on Mar-27-2007 17:31:

Perhaps Black Strobe - Nazi Trance Fuck Off!

Posted by emc^2 on Mar-27-2007 17:38:

Matt Darey - Game Master (or as pronounced in the song "gaymaster")
no? How about them lyrics: "perhaps you are aware of those who are watching over you". It's about Alien Race or smth like that.

ok, I need a rest.

Yes, that's about as close an example I can think of.

Dance 2 Trance always had a sort of message to their music in support of Native American spiritual dance, as I recall.
