Lee Burridge @BED

Loved every minute.As the man tripped everyone out for 7 hours of minimal madness with a bunch of new Bill Patrick and Steve Bug releases,tore BED a new one!!Lee told me before that he was going to try something a littel diffrent with more prog and Minimal than his normally more versitile sets that incorporate alittle of all genres.
Great night and morning after.

Damn it!!!I was so tore up from chilling with Lee that it was a miracle that i remembered to take pics.The video's would be far too rediculious.

So that everyone know's Lee plans to spin in Miami lots times this year and is discussing with Twilo to become a quarterly resident!!!!If he does this he will destroy Miami as we know it.As everyone knows Lee is one of the only dj's that incrporperates minimal,with tech house,electro,and prog with commercial ,which only true dj's will understand the true difficulty in this.He wants to make minimal bigger here because he see's it as having a unimaginable future in EDM and he firmly believes that it will take over most forms of EDM as being a music that inherantly defies genre's.For this reason nhe wants to have Miami as a major spot for him this year.

If you havent seen Lee before you have missed a truly special dj,who loves the poeple as much as we love him.He is the guy that will stand somewhere for hours signing anything you want and take as many pics as you want just as long as you out it up on his myspace.This guy for the last couple of years has made my WMC special and if you get a chance to see him live then you will undersatnd why he is widely regarded by all dj's in every genre of EDM as one of the best.

Dude that's incredible. Lee has been my number 1 DJ since 2002 now and I've always been stunned by how well he weaves genres together. To be honest, when I listen to him I don't even think of genres because he's managed to develop his own sound so well. It doesn't matter whether it's minimal, tech house, deep house, dubstyles, it has the signature Burridge sound, and always 5 steps ahead of everyone else. When the term "electro house" didn't even exist, he was spinning it. When break beats could barely be labelled as an "underground genre", he was spinning them.

The man is a genius, simply put. And I think only Danny Howells can be put in the same league as him.

I couldn't agree with you more, as mel said seeing lee the first time is truely a phenomenal experience and I remember it like it was yesterday. We were literally soaking wet because we were all dancing so hard non fucking stop. ever since i've gone out of my way to see him (6 times in 2006 alone), i was gutted I couldn't go to wmc this year. i literally wanted to go to see marathon lee and howells sets...

No it was at Twilo in Miami in October on my Birthday,he got me and all my friends in for free with drinks.But i can hook you up with the Footworks set and the set from Pacha that you speak of.

heheh thanks but I already have them. Actually, I had the Footwork set before Lee even got it (lot's of drama surrounding this set too. Apparently it wasn't supposed to be released when it was).

I agree though, INCREDIBLE stuff. I still listen to the Footwork set everyone once in a while

I'm crossing my fingers for a surprise set by him on April 16th. Craig Richards is going to be playing here that day, and I'd kill to see the 2 of them together. If you've heard their Tyrant 2 CD then you know what I mean

Also have you ever herd Bill Patrick???Lee introduced me and he threw down at Sunday School for degenerates.Steve Bug really impressed me too.

And no, I haven't heard of Bill Patrick. Steve Bug sounds familiar though. I doubt either of them have come through Toronto though so I haven't had the opportunity to hear them.

But uhhh, where can I get this Tyrant 3 CD?

@ Twilo in Miami.. The following weekend I went to NY he was here [i didnt go] but he spun at Studio B in NY

I'll definitely keep an eye (or ear) out for these guys. I'm really getting tired of music lately, minus Burridge, Howells and maybe 2 other guys.

Nathan Coles is another SICK tech house DJ though. If you have a chance to see him, go for it.

I dont think I've ever seen anyone as fucked up as Patrick after his set at Sunday School... he was creeping around like Golem on the terrace, I stopped him and told him nice set, which seemed to absolutely terrify him for some reason, I think the Kitty Kat got the best of him

ps you goin to Love Lee this year? I'm thinking that will be my trip for the year and then i'll save after that and find out where lee is playing NYE and try to go there
