Guvernment renovations

Anyone heard if guv is getting renovated?? because after DECADENCE all events are being held in Kool Haus.

Since i am talking about renovations what do you think would improve the place i love and most love to party at.

Yes guv is being renovated and hopefully that DJ booth will be in place where the crowd can somewhat interact with the dj playing. besides that ummm i really dont care i liked the previous setup of guv.

Guvernment is being renovated, that's why that room is closed for Armin & Markus.

kh is gonna be open instead of mainroom

Koolhaus > Mainroom

They need to place the DJ booth in a better location....somewhere where the Praise Me DJs can be praised. The stage area would be a perfect area for the DJ Booth and then convert the DJ booth into a VVIP area.

I have a feeling its going to get a major overhaul and hopefully a new sound system.

I so agree i love that place but i always like it more when they put the DJ in front of the big stage for all access events.

With this happening maybe this means they are doing this for a reason.......................CIRCA

interesting...i'll be curious to see the main room when thats all done! (that probably won't be til FREEDOM)

other than changing the dj booth situation, i don't really know what they'd do...unless they have some really funky theme in mind.

they gotta fix the sound, then do everything else.

I think they should turn the stage into one huge fish tank and have the DJ booth on top of the fish tank....have lots of sharks in there and if the DJ sucks....in he/she goes.

I agree! It makes complete sense that they are renovating a 2nd room in about 6 months when EVERYBODY knows that they are closing down forever after Labour Of Love...

Hopefully the news of the renovations will put the last of the condo stories to rest.

Furthermore, I noticed in the chinamon's weekly photos from Guv that there was a large red curtain around the stage area this past Saturday. Perhaps they have already started building a new DJ booth there.

They need to build a better entrance/path to Guv & KH so the bottle necks aren't so killer.

One thing that needs to be done is, all the speakers should be moved into the corners of the room cuz sounds outside of them sux and it also makes for an wierd dance floor.

I think it would be cool if they made the dance floor on an elevated platform. Like 2 levels sourt of thing.

Agreed. They should also ground the cords going to them, instead of having them come down from the ceiling. May look a wee bit better to the eye.

i think they should class it up overall. main room has become too sketch

Would that be by April 28th? Because I planned on attending with a bunch of first timers for my friends birthday and I think it'd be weird if they don't even see the mainroom their first time out, lol.

Also, what exactly did they do to The Drink during renovations, maybe that could be an indication as to what to expect out of the main room.

Yeah, then they'll be packing people in on top of each other as well as side by side.

Though if they added 4-5 platforms that hold like 20 people who are railed in about 12-15 feet up...that would be cool. And each platroom is connected from a raised bridge... no, a swinging bridge. Not THAT would be a main room.

And the back wall had like 2-3, 3-foot high fans. Always on, built into the wall...that you just have to stand in front of for like 10 secs to cool off.....

That would go perfect for people that are tripping out.

I think the main room should have few cages and we stuff some sketched out Asian in them, lock the cages and poke them with sticks.

I'm excited about these renovations: I hope they do something about the DJ booth so the crowd can interact with the DJs much more easily (like KH).

On the whole Guv main room is sickk already....hopefully it only gets better.

Maybe they can Add another washroom on the other side or something, cause sometimes getting to the washroom from one end to the other is difficult especially when the old Asian people are hugging eachother and won't move. Maybe expand the doors for the patio and entrance so it won't be so tight to get through.

i saw an asian guy thinking he was walking normaly on the ground, when really he just stepped on some other asians lady,c omming off the stage, the collapsing on 4 or 5 asians....then scurrying off...i can see so many people tripping over the step lol
