REVIEW: Donald Glaude and Jelo at O'Lounge

OMG what an amazing night Hats off to Owen and his crew for one of the most beautiful,intimate, magical, fuckin dirty night I have ever had. The venue was small but not to small, the sound wasn't bad ( I dont have any expertise in this area but it sounded good to me) The people were amazing everyone, the staff were wonderful and oh ya did I mention the DJ's When I got there TOMMY OUTLAW was on the decks and he was amazing I really enjoyed him he has the passion for the music and looked like he loved what he was doing and that vibe started to sweep throughout the room. So I ventured outside.. While I was "smoking" and shooting the shit a SUV pulls up beside us and out piles Jelo, Donald, and a couple of other people. Of course me being me, acts as thier personal welcoming committee and welcomed them to my little house party I was throwing upstairs LOL Donald thought that was cute and started chatting with us after a what only seemed like a few minutes I noticed noone else from the SUV crew was around and Donald was happily chatting away to us. Then all of a sudden Owen appears and trying not to be rude but let us know that he had to take Donald in We were like OMG ya we kinda forgot that he was acctually playing tonight(ya right if I really would have forgotten that) LOL We went back inside I slowly worked my way around the dance floor asking people if they were ready? ready for what? they would ask and I would respond have you ever seen the two of them together live before? and to the ones that said no.......... I told then they were in for a ride of their lives that tonight in this small little venue their worlds were going to change Some looked at me funny, some we really intriqued with the whole world changing, idea but some didn't believe me at all. Well from the time the first track was dropped I made my way from the top of the dance floor to the back saying over and over again I told you so I told you so I fuckin told you so. You should have seen the looks of pure fuckin excitement on some of these peoples faces it was pricless, and then I started getting OMG you were right you were right and I would say, just wait, just wait, this aint nothing yet!!!!!!! The vibe there last night was amazing so much positive engery so much unity. Donald and Jelo as usually blew my fuckin mind they are world class Djs who still truly respect the music and share that pure love for us. They guys are freking crazy pushing us past our limits and then they pushed even harder. They loved the crowd I think that the vibe they were getting from us was amazing!!!!! People every when dancing like there was no tomorrow it was wicked to see. When Donald and Jelo were done their set, EvanG hit the decks, I give this guys so much respect, it must be pretty intense to follow a set like that.. But Evan did it he played well and he had a solid set. I even convinced Donald to come dance with me... What an amazing night Thank you everyone that I saw, met for the first time, danced with or even just smiled at, You made this one of the best night I have ever had. ( and seeing this is most likey the longest post I have ever post and my first event review) I knew I couldn't let this night go by with out giving it proper respect!!!!!!!

WHAT A NIGHT! I knew coming in today from my first experience at O Lounge last time (classic trance night ~a month back) that this club would be totally ripped to shreds with the likes of Glaude/Jelo.
Boy, was I wrong. It was like a hiroshima bomb went off in there. It was fuckin dirrrrrrrrrrrty. I was overwhelmed with seeing so many new TA's and the basslines that I thought I was gonna have a heart attack half the time lmao.
Donald was just like I expected him to be and a lot more. His crowd interaction is definately a 20/10, I've never witnessed a DJ do the things he do "PUT YOUR FUCKEN HANNNNNNNDS UP!" "MAKE SOME FUCKEN NOISEEEEEEEE"....you'd think after him saying that a dozen times it'd lose its effect but NOPE, we obeyed him like he was our master and yelled when he asked us too, or reached for the ceiling when he told us to.
Sasha, Cribby, mickmack, turntabulls, eviltree, djsketchbag, and a bunch more i know im forgetting - it was great meeting you guys and glad we all got tore up together! Always a night to remember in O lounge thats for sure...
Can't say more other than the fact that i was ruined last night by some dirty dirty house....
Pretty good night.
Arrived around 10. Had a look around the place. Very cozy. Looks like someone's studio got converted into a mini club. Nice setup.
Ok warm up set by Tommy Outlaw (the first DJ). Though there was no build up of the set. Just high energy tunes all the time (with a bit of tribalish house thrown in there). IMO not the best warm up type of set, but the crowd got into it.
By the time Jelo and Glaude hit the decks, the place was pretty packed, though not so horribly. It was pretty damn hot in there. 15 mins of dancing and I was pouring buckets. The windows def need to be opened to get some fresh air in.
Jelo and Glaude was decent. Absolute randomness the entire set. No flow what so ever. It was like 30 mins each, then a bit of back to back in the end. Glaude would drop some party bombs, then Jelo would slow down the energy and Glaude would pick it up again. I didn't really enjoy that. Felt Jelo would have been better opening for Glaude and Glaude destroy whatever is left and blown up the dust some more.
The crowd ate it up though for most part to Glaude's amazing presence on the decks. Would have been more, but I think the heat got to a lot of people. They certainly loved it as the club didn't noticeably clear until 3:30-4am when I left.
Always a pleasure to meet some new TAs and partying it up with other TAs that I normally don't get to. Cribby was a machine. The sketchy clown dance FTW! Wish I tear it up a bit more but pulled groin sucks. (Hurting a lot today)

Ugggg, I think partying in Australia really took it's toll on me! Last call at 2am just fucking sucks!!! Here I am at 2:30 BEGGING the bartender to sell me a brew, LOL.
Anyway. I had a grat night! Last minute decision to go, and am I ever glad I did! Big-ups to the boys and girls at the house beforehand! Really set my vibe for the night to come... I'll have to make it to Hamton whenever I can from now on
Tunes were pretty sick for most of the night. As Evil Tree said, it was relaly up and down and no flow which really fucked with my head and my legs. I didn't really enjoy that, but the tunes were still good. Super Stylin' actually put the downer on the set for me... I don't mind hearing it... but there's no need to play the entire track anymore.. it's just long and repeptitive now. Give us a tease with it then drop another bomb... but hey.. I'm not the one djing.
The female talent was in full effect last night too!!
I'd really like to see some more pics!
It's 3pm and I just got up with a pounding headache, but some great memories.
