Hello! Pepa - Visual Thoughts (March 2007 Promo)

Hello Everyone, here is the latrest mix I've created.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Goa/Psy-Trance music, and I think it has influenced the way I mix, I'm trying to do different things on here.
Even Though there is no Psy Music here, the music itself have free myself from limits, and pushed me to try new things.

The name of the mix comes from an hallucination I had were I saw all my memories in a pixelated world, like if they were a million tiny TV Screens, and I was watching all of them at the same time, that was really beautiful =).

Well here is the tracklist for the mix.

01_-_Trafik Feat Rachel Lamb - Surrender (Blake Porter & Habersham Loslung Phunk Reprise)
02_-_Mew - 156 (Sebastian Brandt Remix)
03_-_Gill Norris - Forme (Shiloh & Micah Shatterfist Remix)
04_-_Phonique - For The Time Being (Hernan Cattaneo & John Tonks 'Exclusive Sequential' Mix)
05_-_Jaytech - Manipulator (Original Mix)
06_-_Mark Knight - Susan (Original Mix)
07_-_Jaytech - Neon Void (Original Mix)
08_-_Leama & Moor - Calling (Original Mix)
09_-_The PQM Project - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (Markus Schulz Remix)
10_-_Aurosonic - Memories (Original Mix)
11_-_Roy Hayumi - Sanative Way (Aurosonic Weekend Mix)
12_-_Maor Levi - Reflect (Original Mix)
13_-_Kuffdam & Plant Feat Terry Ferminal - The Ones We Loved (Dogzilla Mix)
14_-_Breakfast - The Air Between (Original Mix)
15_-_Maor Levi - Illumina (Original Mix)

Hope you all enjoy it,

this mix is brilliant, I just can't stand nobody's giving feedback. I love mellow prog-trance and you impressed me - second half of the mix got me hypnotized. I keep rewinding all the time, jeje. Haven't heard anything from Aurosonic but the 2 tracks you dropped are my favs here! I like your mixing, absolutely no clashes, nice blends. I remember I appreciated the transition into Kuffdam. Moreover, you applied some nice loops on the beginning of this song (I guess it was you ) Other eqing was fun too. I listened to your mix like 4-5 times so far, that shows how much I like it I'd really like to see more of your efforts here on TA. Cheers Pepa!

Hey glad to recive feedback form you Mon-SooN.
If it got you Hypnotized then I'm really happy, I think it's supposed to do that jeje =).
Wow you should definitely check out Aurosonic stuff, there melodies are really beautiful, I love their productions =).

About the mixing, I did play a lot with the effects, looping, eqing, etc. so it seems to always be happening somethign during the set =)

Thanks for your review mate, I really appreciate it.

hey thanks for listening mate
I don't knwo exactly what are you refering to at 75:04, I just checked it out, and it seems to be fine, maybe it was a download problem, who knows jaja.

Glad you enjoyed the mix.

Cheers

i listened to your mix at work yesterday.
i think the mixing was good. i didn't like the tricks you did (with effects and the eqs) though. IMO they didn't fit well at all.
trackselectionwise i think i'm really the wrong person to comment. i really don't like this kind of music much at all. tunes reminded me of armin van buuren, bland and generic. none of the tunes seemed to have any content, anything "deeper" to keep you interested. but that's just me though and my preference in music. also that remix of forme was fucking horrible.
so technically you can mix well for sure, it's just that your set didn't really interest me.

where did you get that sequential mix of For the Time Being?
Been looking for that track for ages...

Curious to hear how you mix...listening...

Well, first I want to than you for listening to the music.
About the tricks, I can agree with you, maybe there's just too much of them, but I'm fine with it, beacuse I was just trying to do something unusual and experience the result of it, this way I feel I can learn.
about your the music itsels, it's just a matter of personal taste.
when you say the remix of Forme, are you refering to "shiloh", or the transitions that I made from Forme?

anyways thanks for the feedback

Pepa

It's taken from
Hernan Cattaneo "Renaissance Presents: Sequential"

i was referring to the track itself, nothing wrong with the mixing. and indeed the music style is personal preference.
