The addiction to fossil fuels can have only one possible outcome. What will the years leading up to end of petroleum production be like?

Have you ever seen "The Road Warrior"? It is one of my favorite movies because it does not depict the future in a technologically advanced way with mankind having invented a solution to all problems but rather as a grim, realistic world in which civilization has collapsed where survival and petroleum are the only things that matter. Are we headed in this direciton?

Please give us the petrol and no one will be harmed or killed...

wtf. Just pumped gas tonight and I was charged 3 cents more than the advertised price.
Found out on yelp.com that I'm not the only customer they're scamming.

Is it me or do you also notice people driving slower too?

Around town here on the 101 people are staying at 70/75 now, even slower to conserve.

lol yeah the suv eats lots of gas.

and the crx sucks! no power and really sloppy clutch. rsx totally different. much better clutch and ok power but horrible torque. i love my subaru!

Posted by Dj Blurr on Apr-02-2007 20:18:

im talkin about the 45 od miles per gallon i used to get with my CRX.

Think its time for me to get a Hybrid SUV...

god that gets on my nerves. its like, look in your fuckin mirror for more than 1 second to see how fast the car behind you is coming up before changing lanes. people are inconsiderate on the road.

heh yeah that is nice. i was driving a crx for a month and a half and it got around 35ish and thats damn good considering my style of driving.

also hybrids are a waste. you pay a $5k price premium to say "im green" yet the thing has no benefits over a super efficient gas engine UNLESS you are mostly doing you traveling at under 25mph. that means like 75% or so of your driving. not just the 1hr commute to and from work. otherwise you will never realize the cost savings unless you keep your car for 20 years. if you are like a lot of people and get a new car every 5-7 years then you will be wasting money.
