I highly recommend somewhere in the Barton / Kenilworth area. Good times.

i'm assuming you're going to mac?

westdale area for sure. if you have a car, theres a lot of places up the mountain that are nice, but wouldn't consider if your are planning on bussing around.

try http://hamilton.craigslist.org/ ..it has free listings and u can advertise as well.

Westdale or South James areas are the nicest.

Stay out of North Hamilton completely and if you're at Mac I don't recommend the Broadway area. Stay on the same side of Main as the university.

If you drive and are going to Mac, consider something in Fundas...I mean Dundas, it's all of a 5 minute drive. There is bus service between Dundas and the campus as well.

I think this is something more along your lines. www.chateauroyale.ca, if you have a vehicle there's underground parking and if your taking the bus (bus also going directly to MAC is located beside the building), there's a buses going to any part of the city within walking distance and it's also located right beside Go-Transit.

there are a few nice streets on the other side of main you might not want to overlook. but yeah some of the streets with the tiny houses that are one meter apart, broken glass everywhere on the street, and beat up office chairs on the porches are pretty sad.. haha

Try even posting your own add on Craigslist with what you're looking for and people will email you.

That's what Cale and I did for Holland, and the first person that emailed us ended up being the people we're renting from. It worked out great.

LMFAO... barton is cracked outtt loool...

there's some nice apartments down by the main/whitney area... i even have a buddy who's renting out his condos so if u want pm me and i'll get u his info... i highly recommend u get a place right on the bus route since bussing is free for mac students... the place i live right now i can see the bus from my balcony and run down to catch it in time... pretty convenient... but yeah apartments are good if u have one roommate... me n my roommate pay 365 each for a pretty nice 2 bedroom apartment... 1 bedroom apartments are considerably more expensive

It's so ghetto... some parts of Barton is starting to look like a ghost town, 80% businesses are shut down.

I heard there is a nice van down by the river?

No but seriously Westdale is the way to go or west mountain. Just stay west of Bay st.
