usuing FL, iam using vanguard and say u fill in the 1st box in the step sequencer and in pattern mode u get it going. it will make the pluck noise and the the frequency echo noise or whatever u call it will drone on. if u take the fill out the 1st box in the step sequencer it wont pluck (obviously) but the echo keeps on going indefinatley.

how can i get this to stop?

as u want silence for a breakdown, but the freqency noise just doesnt stop. once u trigger it, it keeps going

any ideas?

Use the piano roll...
Step sequencer = infinite note length
