-- routing in cubase sx3
routing in cubase sx3
in cubase sx3 i want to sidechain. i know how to create child buses on a group bus..so once i put a sidechaing compressor in the group track,,how do i "tell" it to use the child buses input as the trigger for sidechain????
the reason i want to know is because the waves sidechain compressor is in mono n gives the sound a real bad final sound..
the track you are assigning to be sidechianed must be panned all teh way to teh left and the track that is the signal for sidechaining must be sidechained hard right. In the waves C1 sc comp it has an option near teh bottom that lets you change it to L-R, R-L, wideband, ect.. Keep it at the initial L-R and keep the setting I stated above.
now you have to assign teh signal track to the group channel you have made with your C1 comp. Assign the signal track to the first option(whatever you called the group track...might be called group 1.)
Don't assign the signal track to the child bus or the stereo buss.
Now pan the signal track hard right.
Now assign the track you want to be sidechained to the child buss you created.
Now pan it hard left.
should work now.
This is however a mono sidechaine and not a stereo sidechain.
PS: oh to route the tracks to different busses all you have to do is click on the part in the mixer ontop of the track youwant that shows its output buss...for example: Mine would say
Input: M-Audio Delta1010
output:M-Audio Delta1010
change the input to group track or child buss..whatever is needed.
Get a dxi sidechaining plugin...
(db-audioware)
how can i stereo sidechain in cubase tho??
