http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...n+Tyas+Remix%22
thought it was some new remix of brian eno - ascent but its id'ed as michael dow.
whats going on there ??

it probably is a remake of ascent, but he decided to put his name on it or something...kinda like tiesto - adagio for strings

it isnt a bad tune.

Sorta off topic but I really like the first track in the playlist... it is IDed as Armin Van Buuren - Miserere, but I just listened to a sample on Audio Jelly and it doesn't sound anything like it... am I missing something, would like to track it down.

Well if you check out the track on AudioJelly there are 2 mixes of a track called Miserere with the artist being named Solid Globe or Solid Globe/Malgosia.

Both of which have a really prominent vocals in them, which have been done in almost an operatic style.

As for figuring out the actual ID... not my strong suit... definitely not my strong suit.

im bumping this thread back up I WANT ANSWERS!
this track, michael dow - ascent, was included in armins set from asot 300 part 2.
if its gonna be released in a significant set it needs to be explained.

i ask again.
with respect to brian eno - ascent ...
why is this track not brian eno - ascent (michael dow remix) ??
why is michael dow afforded the right to have his name as the artist on what clearly was a brian eno tune ??
is it a cover ?? if it is, how is this allowed ??
i am beginning to think its not a mislabel because it made it to such a high-attention set.

the last question i ask myself is why the hell do i care so much ??
because its making a twist in my head and because balls are round.

i think miserere is a short intro with strings. he always plays " rush hour" after that. not sure though

Fucking great remake of an ending. Loving it more then the original.

Coming out soon, don't know the label. Just go ask him on his my space, he's pretty nice guy, he's got a lot more good stuff coming out too.

by purchasing the rights from the original label/publishers/however it works, i'd imagine. cover versions have been around for decades

and no it's not a mislabel, it's coming out like that on captivating recordings in a month or so

it's average i think. fairly standard/cliched use of the original melody but it's done quite tastefully for what it is, and isn't too harsh on the ears. i prefer dow's darker stuff
