I thought to my self why not put a post so everyone who is new to trance.. or old to trance.. can identify with some of the "lingo" that everyone uses. I myself am quite confused sometimes..maybe im just a retard But I think that this would be helpful not only to me but to the whole board.

1.)Acetate - Is a vinyl that can only be played a couple times, before it becomes unplayable.

Two tracks mixed together to make one track is known as either a 'bootleg' or a 'synergy' or in my opinion a waste of fuckin time unless someone can recommend a goodone coz most i've heard are fuckin awful!

Airheads - Stanley (In a Trance) its a bootleg of Stan by Eminem... Its pretty cool. theres a bootleg of Phat Planet by Leftfield going about aswell but i dont know what its called.. can anyone help with that?

A bootleg is a track made from any other(s) using the same ideas but used in a diffeent way, e.g. tocas dream & toca me.... toca's dream completely ruined a perfectly good tune...

Ummm... Raukus = bangin.. thats all i can be bothered to think of

was a dj available only bootleg early last year.. but yea.. it came out sometime mid of last year to the public....
but then it came out on white label..
i think maybe its an Arista Recs white label??

yep.. average life for an acetate (or dub plate) is abOUT.... 4 times..
before it starts dying.. average cost to makin one.. i ain't that sure. but its about 30 pounds = US$45 or so..
and the cost of the damn machine is about 3500- 10000 pounds = 5000-15000US$.... hehe i wish i had one

unless u
1) are a pvd-esque dj with a cutter
2) have contacts who can cut any vinyl u want
3) have a lot of $$
4) are crazy

then ya won't have any acetates hehe.. =p..

i belive that went onto white label
not sure if it made it any further than that but in my opinion thats a great cut together

They are basically pre-releases on vinyl. They release it for the DJ's to play, and to see how it sells. When they sell Sh*T they wont get of white label..
