good shit, hopefully ruby will stay open late for this as they have in the past
i would love to see a show where dave doesnt do anything. since all he does is get fucked 6 ways to sunday on drugs and alcohol.
lol
I wish Gabriel and Dresden were swinging by LA soon. Looks like it's gonna be a while before they come back. Although they tend to spin many of the same songs at each show, it sure is a good time.....

I've never seen them live, and I haven't really heard any livesets either. I just know that a select few of their productions/remixes are great, and a bunch of them are somewhere in between not so great and sucky (I fucking HATED Tracking Treasure Down and had to spend several months not listening to the radio because of it, dunno how that song got popular). But tracks like Dub Horizon and Eleven and Portabello are great. I'm planning to check them out especially if I can get on a guest list/discount whatever.
also I have no clue wtf the difference is between each of the duo's styles, seems Dave generates a lot of hate here though.
I'm there.
I loved their live sets when I caught them the few times they've spun in the Bay Area.
They play together. Josh on Ableton, Dave on the mixer. Dave also lays lyrics for mashups on there too using the CDDJ (as in, music comes from Ableton and the lyrics will be on a CD). They work together on what tracks to choose. A job one person can do, but they do it together and in all honestly it's worked for them MUCH better than when they took turns playing with Josh on Ableton and Dave on CDDJs.
So their styles aren't usually seperable during their sets like it was when they took turns playing.
I prob won't be there since we can't find a trusty babysitter yet and I've told Michelle she can go!

you should check out some of his productions under big top and attention deficit, good stuff. it sounds like they don't do to well when they play other places, but in sf i enjoy ~80-90% of their set every time. eleven sounds great in ruby also, when digweed dropped it in january 06 omg
anyone else catch them at the mighty last february? now that was a fun show.... small venue, sunday night, great vibe, and outstanding music.
i was there... scarlett ![]()
I can only imagine how Eleven sounds at Ruby, I'm surprised the building's still standing after all that bass. Think I'll check them out, they don't have to be perfect or my absolute favorite for me to still have a good time.
eleven was played by digweed last time I saw him at ruby. and he played it better than G&D did when the track frist came out. It was amazing to stand next to the speaker on that one. I really felt that sweeping bass, it was so cool..
Speaking about eleven, today is the eleventh, which is my birthday as well. YAY. I was wondering if Alain's got the GL for this....
