Now you're speaking some alien gibberish in order to try to fit in?

If you want to be more Canadian, how about start eating a lot of poutine?

Hahaha...back in 2002, and ex of mine took me to Wimpys on Yonge in N. York, and she asked me if I ever had it. I said no, but it sounded good, and she would have to order it, because I couldn't say it without laughing. They have goooood Monte Christo sandwiches too - get it with maple syrup!

And yes, I made up the verb "pretendre" :P

I don't need to fit in

I like going to Prespa on Sat. nights, Paul Brennan isnt bad.
Other than that, Buffalo for EDM is shit.

Buffalo is wrapped up in to TOP 40 radio crap, It is really sad.
Going out in Buffalo consists of listening to 5 different versions of "Boombastic" mixed in with a little 50 cent, and topped with a little Christina Aguilera.

Its been tried here, and has failed. I've seen Mark Oliver @ Warehaus a couple times here in Buffalo, the first time there was a pretty good turn out, but the 2nd time, I was 1 of 5 people there...I still danced my ass off though. Now the warehaus, is some country hick bar, with a mechanical riding buffalo....

So I guess you cant blame us for coming up to TO all the time, can ya?

God its funny because its true! A really good friend of mine DJS at Marcellas on Friday nights, and he is an amazing talent but like trancedut said he can't play anything good because all people want to hear is top 40. Yeah both those nights at the warehaus were amazing nights! The first time MO was here was right around the time I was starting to get into EDM. Now like you said, you go there and there are peanuts on the floor and a mechanical buffalo lmao.

Yeah, Prespa's real nice on Saturdays, but it needs some hot ass. Off the Wall rocks some good beats as well, but even less healthy in the ass department.

People here just aren't really sold too much on the scene. It's getting better, and it's come a long way, but there's still a shitload of knuckleheads who won't let go of their rave roots, and leave the jungle shit alone for some ass-shakin beats with soul.

I brought Sean Miller down a couple years ago, and Mark Oliver has spun here a bunch of times, but not more than once or twice in the past couple years. I was pretty close to bringing Manzone & Strong down in late 2004/early 2005, but the club we were at closed down, and we grabbed a new venue (Utopia), which I think now is a ghetto spot.

It was hard work to get these things together, then we'd have a weak turnout most of the time, or just a shitload of dudes. Summer 2004, we had Mark Oliver (with Joe Drust opening) at Evolution on a few Wednesdays, and those were rockin. Some good nights at Utopia as well, as well ar Warehaus in 2005 (Mark & Joe).

Club owners/managers here just don't have the same mindset. I have it in my mind to put a plan together, but it's a big one, and I'm waiting for the right partner.

Oh man, we tried and tried to tell them not to do that on Thursday, but they were so stuck on it. I remember that night...
