Talking Coming to Australia

Hi there

I'm coming to Australia on April 24th, staying until May 14th to visit family, and I need some advice from some fellow TAs on what to do while I'm there. Are there any good festivals, clubs, sites, etc that shouldn't be missed? I'm going to be mostly in the Sydney area, but I'll have family with cars so I wouldn't mind traveling to nearby cities as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Or even a good website with club nights or events or something. (you guys need an events thread!)

Thanks in advance
~Jenna

this so reminds me of roy and hg, during the sydney olympics, when they were asking americans how far cities were from sydney.... most said about an hours drive away

well if you like sitting in a car for over 10 hours, feel free to travel to other cities, i hear perth is real easy to get to from sydney

anyways,
darren tate is touring australia within those times

otherwise check out inthemix.com.au

How about we just start naming things that are bitey and kill you, after that you can decide if it's still a good idea?

So is there much Anti-Americanism in Australia, or is it just you?? I'm pretty sure there are cities within driving distance of Sydney.

Sydney is the home of the "Fully hectic Lebo Broooo"

i must say though, those lebos make watching bondi rescue well worth it.

Do not miss Luke Fair, if you're into any sort of prog house (laced with some deep house and funk)

So very underrated!

I guess the exchange rate is kinda sucky for you atm, but great for us for a change.

I would def recommend a day trip to the Blue Mountains, only a 1 and a bit hr drive and a beautiful place at that time of the year.

Also you can head south, dont stop in Wollongong or Nowra and go check out Jervis Bay, some of the worlds best beaches.

+1, love it. Leura and Wentworth Falls are great.

Alternatively, head to the North Coast and visit Port Macquarie, The Entrance, Coffs Harbour, the Hunter Valley.

There's so much to see and do in NSW. It all depends on what interests you.
