I plan on going to this, my only problem is what I've heard about Zabs these days. Supposedly he's been playing more minimal-esque stuff these days (which I like some minimal), but he's been doing it without the Zabs funk. I go to see Zabs play breaksy robot funk with major effects play and tricks. His WMC set (or one of them) was supposedly monotonous minimal that didn't pique anyone's interest all too much.

I am of the same opinion. I saw the One+One kickoff at Fifth. Nic brought the dirty funk, Zabs started off great but quickly switched gears to that techy stuff and just lost me. His Remix hotel set, as well as the One+One EM recording, didn't really excite me that much either.

I know he can still throw down, and Nic definately brought it at Fifth, so I'll be seeing them in ATL for sure.

It's best not to have a favorite dj. I don't think I have a favorite anything in music at all. I like certain things at certain times by certain people and nothing is consistently good enough to be considered a favorite.

If you're dad comes, bring him, it's not like there isn't alcohol and plastic to keep him entertained at 1150/Opera

omg, they weren't magic in miami but these two last year were magic for wmc and the best party out there!!!!! and i have seen JZ and Nic in the last 2 months and seperately they have killed it so together they can't be half bad!!!! i'm making my sister go to this of course!!!! i love nic and he never disappoints so i hope it's the same here!!!!! and fuck that a wednesday??????? wtf??? oh well, my friend marti will be there for sure, she loves nic as i love nic

It will be at the fiddy if they get done with construction in time and that's why it hasn't been fully announced yet I'm sure. If it't not at Opera then I'm sure it will be at Blu or the Loft so not biggy.

Uuumm... I was one of those that said all that horrible stuff about zab.... It was just a set not to my liking. It doesn't change my opinion about them at all. I am still making the trek from gainesville to orlando to see them May 22nd and you should still go see them in atlanta!
