what is the difference between the different models of technics? which is the most widely used? and which should you buy?

Anyways:

The SL-1200 is the first one, in black colour, the SL-1210 MK2 is Silver coloured and has a switch between 110 DC and 220 DC (Thesed are the only differences) and the M3D has a quartz lock button the brings the pith to 0 just by pressing it, which helps prevent the pitch slide wear out around the -0.5-<0<+0.5 .

Just a little correction, even it's not the correct forum:

Both of 1200 and 1210 have voltage selector.
