Anybody own a 303?
Alright guys?
Just got myself a Tb-303, loving it..... apart from the fact ive no idea how to use it properly!
Are there any manuals that make any sense online? I downloaded the PDF version of the original, but it makes such little sense and jumps around all over the place. I try and follow it but when things dont work im left totally lost!
I can get it to play... but what my main gripe is, is getting a pattern made of a length that i choose, and playing it back.
Anyone got any quick tips?
Id be eternally grateful!
Michael
In fact actualy programmnig any pattern in and playing it back would be good haha!
Can't really help you there, but congrats on getting yourself the most awesome instrument ever created
They do have a nasty reputation for being hard to program.
Used to own four of them at one point in time.
But when people offer ridiculous money for them, think ₤2,000 just for one, you sell them...
TB303 Programming Video
Basically, you start on step one
enter note, slide, accent, gate as required.
Press next step.
Repeat
is it midi enabled? You can get that done if you want.
Thanks rusty ill check that out in a sec
Yeah it is midi enabled but i think i need a CV to midi converter thingymabob. I might even send it off and get the Devil Fish mod..... but not so sure yet......
Im pretty happy i got it, some people think its mad as Audio Realism Bassline can do pretty much the same..... but its just not real is it!
Rusty i owe you my life!
Seem to be getting there now, thank you so much!!

If you think the 303 is a mother****** to program sequences on, try it's sibling, the MC-202 (an sh101 without a keyboard basically)
Holy cow what a bitch
Have fun
Hahah thanks
Got a 606 on the way too.... eeek thats gonna get confusing haha
may want to check Mr Whittle's mods:
