[Emotional Darktrance] Takkra - MDLN (Original Mix) full track.

a track i've been working on for a couple of days now, I finished it in a total of eight hours, which includes six hours of doodling around and twisting random buttons because I didn't know what to do with such an emotional melody .

The melody is awesome, emotionell and nice atmosphere! But I�m not sure about the synth that playing the main part... think it sounds a bit muddy. I like it anyway, good jobb!

0:30 the fat bass's LFO makes it swing in & out of tune. Gives it a rustic feel... I like it!!

1:55 the hihats now give it a little more momentum.

2:15 hihats stop. I think they need to be bought into the mix a little sooner to get the momentum going between 1:40 & 2:15. The track doesn't seem to pick itslf up & drive; and then break at 2:30 slows it down again. Percs will this help IMO... Also needs a heavier hihat or driving cymbal.

2:55 I like the high distorted layer.
3:00 the gated pads are great.

4:18 another break. The drive suffers by these break IMO, make it like an insomniac. I love the elements you have put together: Nice pads, warm bass & interesting high synth are all good! Just lacks drive through parts. The high distorted synth could be coupled with a mid layer when the beat kicks in IMO.

It's actually quite a pleasure to listen too. Again all the elements sound great. It send me into a relaxing trance. Nice work Takkra

great melodies and atmosphere in this, turn up the kick volume a little bit.. definatly add more percussions throughout the tune, its lacking a few. i really like the bass, and main leads sound cool to. would love to have a go at remixing if thats ok with you just sent me the pack

great warm sound you got on this one mate. sounding full and nice. maybe a bit more sparkle to the sound would improve. arrangement is also an issue that will improve it. try basing around a svd style techno tune as an example of a better arranement.

definately your finest track sonically.
