Shiny Toy Guns - May 17th - Granada Theater, Dallas

A nice refresh of this post since it's coming up.
It's this Thursday, ya know!
I believe the headliner is called The Rapture. Never heard of them, but I know STG....which is odd that I know them and not the headliner. Hmmm, oh well.

------------------------------------------------------
Not trance, but electronica punk. If you don't know who they are, definatley look them up....great electronic sounds and great vocals.

Their CD is highly recommended, but I haven't seen them live before. Looking forward to seeing them next month.

Anyone in?

Shiny Toy Guns
Granada Theater on Lower Greenville Ave
May 17th

See ya there, sugs!

you americans

they are huge in europe...and americans here don't see them unless they are known. and if you have never heard their music, don't even bother

it's all about finding a new sound for your ear, so I'd thought I'd give a post for them. Trance DJs are all over this band remixing their shit, so I know I'm not the only one that knows there is something there.

Tap the breaks there Missy. All I was saying is that your thread didn't get a response. I am all for any new talent that can add to the EDM community to come to Dallas. I will give anyone a chance (even Dirk's mom) if someone else with some sense of direction on here says they might be worth checking out.

I like you. But don't make me drop a bag of flaming pooh on your doorstep.

Oh okay Jonas, misunderstood you. Please accept my appologies. I tend to get defensive on my music. I think all us Trance freaks in Texas can understand that....so few of us *S*

*kiss for you*

No need to apolgize. I understand where you are coming from. All that means is that you have passion for it, which is most admirable. Too many people on this board don't even know why they support a certain genre or music style. Even more support a style only because they 1.) thought it would make them ecclectic or 2) only support it becuase it's what's popular at the moment.

G&D + Shiny Toy Guns

FYI, a quote from G & D blog post.

"shiny toy guns

just wanted to mention that josh and i are working on a remix for the band shiny toy guns. the song is called "you are the one" and from what i'm hearing coming from the studio speakers, will be in your head very shortly.

you are the one

you'll never be alone again

you're more than in my head

you're more.

- dave"

blow me!

But trance DJs suck the donkey dick. To me I'd shoot myself if trance artists were jumping on my shit. Jump off a bridge and right before I hit the bottom you know BANG!

I really enjoyed it! Of course, normally with the Granada, a little too many high school Emo kids running around, but maybe I'm just getting too old that i get annoyed by them.
I didn't know much about The Rapture. I was quite surprised and really liked their sound. They seemed to have alot of fun up on the stage, and really rocked out. Cowbell Guy was awesome. LOL I think I'll look into their stuff now.
STG - WOW! I was blown away. I didn't expect their voices to be just as great as on their CD. They really rocked the house. And they dominated the show with alot of lights. They played all the favs, especially from their new CD. Le Disko, You Are the One, Chemistry of a Car Crash, Rainy Monday, Shaken....
I got a few vids of You are the One and Le Disko, that I'll have to upload later.
