Negative. My experiance @ the biggest full access event was terrible. The only reason I'd want 2 even return 2 dallas is to kick it wit the ekg.

1_ full access' primary concern is not making money. and the move inside reflects that. if we had stayed outside, our capacity would have been much higher therefore the opportunity to make more at the door was greatly lessened by moving inside. we want all of our shows to be as ideal as possible for everyone that comes out to them. we met with the sound company, the venue and other people affiliated with the show and it was a hard decision, but everyone felt that the only proper solution was to go inside. weather.com reported 43 and windy as fuck for Saturday. that in combo with all the tornado, hail and crazy weather we have been having fueled that decision.

2_if you got to the club past after around 1 you would know we stopped selling tickets. we worked very closely with Lizard Lounge and their security to monitor capacity and worked on a 'as people leave, then let more people in' scenario. this was communicated to the people in line so that they knew beforehand and some decided to leave instead of waiting it out. we also held a certain amount of space for presale ticket holders to gaurentee entry.

3_ticket prices are directly related to the cost of the artists playing. anyone that has thrown a show before can attest to the fact that artists charge a good amount of bread. add into that Armin Van Burren is a top 10 dj and from outside the country and add one of the US' top house djs with Dan and you can see why there was a higher ticket price. these guys charge a significant amount of money to come perform.
we always offer a good amount of presales at lower prices and this show was no exception (advance presales went for $20 ). we try to keep our events as inexpensive as possible and they are usually on par or lower than other events across the country.

we do events because we like adding elements of culture to Dallas thru dance music. plain and simple. were in this for the long haul and making sure each show is the best one possible is important. mother nature decided to fuck with us a little bit, so we worked with what was available to try and make sure everyone had a good time.

just to clarify we have been throwing parties for over ten years now. and i dont understand how you would have a trance dj open up for a trance dj? why do you think alot of top djs bring in their own opening djs. ala paul van dyk bringing jerry bonham who plays progressive house.

okay as far as opening djs. look @ the success with the music of the opening dj and the headliner. something kenneth thomas has very well executed.

1st off ' opening dj '

opening :jerry bonham (prgsve)head: vandyk (trance)
opening :kenneth thomas (prgsve) head: oakey (trance)
opening :kai (prsve house)/ noel sanger(prgsve)head: TIESTO (trance)

on occasions markus schulz or som prgsve trance opening dj then van buuren

FRIDAY THE 14TH : if jeremy word was opening for dj dan and dan was the sole headliner then the opeening slot n headline slot were filled perfectly.

but when you got hard bumpin regular old house open for a trance dj !? thats like a hip hop dj opening for a rock band.

idk man but in houston we open proper. maybe it was just the way i was raised into the scene.

and i can assure u 90% of the ppl there were there to see armin. there wouldnt be a way in hell me n the crew i rolled with would come to dallas to see some house dj.

well you have to look at the circumstance. we cant control the weather. if weather was to be favorable lance cashion would have been opening for armin. Due to circumstances out of our control we had to put both headliners in the main room.

i see. but why in the world did dj dan have to be booked ? armin could easily pack the house up with him being the single headliner. or did yall wanna be safe by booking a high statistically voted dj from the us ? idk. maybe im being a jerk. im just glad the scene is being supported by dallas but ill stick to my houston.

So your upset the line-up was to good. Come on man, if the party had gone off as planned you wouldn't be bitching. People can't control the weather.

These guys bring in great talent, so one show got fu cked, get over it.

actually. i thought the line up was okay i just thought it could have been just as packed w/o dan. but its the weathers fault. i got that much when i arrived to dallas and heard they moved the effin party indoors.

n ur missing my point by a long shot.

+1

This is starting to sound like a DDM thread where everyone is bitching just for the sake of bitching. I hate DDM and about 90% of the assholes on there.

My only real complaint about Full Access events is that they use the same four or five local guys to fill the slots for the events. There is plenty of talent to mix it up from show to show.

(yes, I am mentioning this because I want to play these events and am trying to be subtle about it. )

Hello! bitching

Houston buddy... if all you can do is bitch about things instead of sucking it up like the rest of the hot and packed ppl at LL last sat... we don't want you back in Dallas-go home... Get over the fact that it was silly of a house dj to open up for a trance dj... it was a one time accident that was out of the ppl's hands... ur an ungreatful dance music fan! It was like a buffet last weekend you got all kinds of dance music so enough with the complaining plz... and fyi you tards that are ranting about ticket prices would look at the boards and realize there are PRE-SALE TICKETS that are cheaper you wouldn't have to worry about paying so much the day of the show...
Now Gabriel & Dresden are tomorrow so lets enjoy!

I think what my problem is... its what mike (biggiestuff) called me the other day. I'm a music snob. I always listen with a djs ear/ametuer producers ear. Always forgetting that not everyone else thinks the way I do. I realize that now.
Aaaand for my buddy. im Bak in houston and loving it. Ur timing is terrible, but then again ur from dallas ( oh !!) not like I hate dallas. Yall r just different and I can live with that. Now if you don't mind, your highness, kindly feck off.
