Need New Headphones
My SECOND pair of HDJ-1000's broke today. Fucking thing is so flimsy. I'm NOT going to use these again, even if the sound is superb.
Anyone have some suggestions? What are the big dogs using now days?
Price isn't really a limit, I know you get what you pay for.
Don't know about those big dogs, but this poodle's been happy for years with these.. Trust me, they DONT BREAK

Sennheiser HD-25.. Price is around 150 Euro's.. 'which was nice'

MDR 7506 review thread
Unless you can afford Senn HD25s, this is the one to get
i highly recommend the Technics RPDH-1200 (the new ones). Sound is absolutely stunning, output is exactly what one needs for a club setting, freq range is right up there with all the top of hte lines...not much more you can ask for with these. some people dont like the build as it feels a bit heavy at first, although to me it's just an indication of how sturdy they are. truly built like a tank...
Guys if money is not a big deal go for the Sony MDR 7509 not 7506.
Virtually the same but has a slightly larger driver (50mm as opposed to 40mm) and therefore slightly larger dynamic range.
The main difference though it doesn't have that really budget, tacky looking band, with exposed metal expander. I find they sit better and they are even more comfy. Only downside is they weigh about 300g.
Also I have used them in various monitoring situations from post production to radio processing and they really are pro spec.
Very useful if your making music and have annoying neighbours who don't like 130db Progressive Trance at 2am.

There's a massive headphones thread, search before you ask a question like this, do you honestly think this is the first time this has been asked on a forum like this?

No, but I thought it would be outdated by now. Should have searched anyways, sorry.
Thanks for the responses guys
.
Denon DN-HP1000 headphones. I've had them in the summer and so far no problems. One guy I know snapped his but mine haven't The sound quality is great, very clear and loud. They aren't the most comfortable, but they aren't uncomfortable either. Good bass response.

I like the Technics RP-DH1200E-S. I travel with them every week and they still look like the day that I bought them. They're solid -- they're like the Hummer H1 of headphones. Here's the official link:

Go with the Sony 7506's and be right the first time. Great sound quality and durability is top notch. For the $100 range, these headphones cannot be beat. If you're looking to spend more than that, either check out the 7509's or the Ultrasone DJ1 or DJ1 Pro model headphones.
7506 fo lyfe
Sony MDR-V6 (not V600DJ) for the best deal: essentially the same as 7506, but $50 cheaper.
