CDJ 200 Pitch Slider,,,,
My pitch slider went out over a week ago and I took it in to DJ Supply here where I live and they have not fixed the problem. It wasnt even working before, but now it is displayed on the screen, and it moves, but when I set it in the middle it stays at -4.80%. Is there a way to reset it so when I have it set in the middle it stays at 0.00% like it should? I am thinking about taking these guys to court because of the VERY POOR service, and for the 3 trips I have had to make back and forth to their company, and the time I had to spend running back and forth to their company. So, I would not suggest using DJ Supply.

Why didn't you just send it back to the company? Do you have a warranty?
Sorry to hear that.
I suggest you persist. If it's under warranty you have a solid case. Pehaps politely advise them that if they're not going to resolve the problem fo you perhaps Pioneer would like to become involved. That might persuade them to offer you the service you are entitled to.
I don't think the legal road is one to go down just yet - exhaust all other avenues first. Be polite though - giving attitude will get you nowhere fast.

DJ Supply is not the best store. Guitar Center isn't perfect, but i've had better luck as far as service, price etc. Esp the one in Southfield (the one in Garden City, near DJ Supply, is lousy).
My buddy who I bought it from can't find the original receipt. There is a scu on the back saying it was manafactured in january 2006. DJ supply had told me they were going to check on that to, which they never did. And they also got $50 out of me for the repair. A manager is supposed to call me in the morning, but we'll see about that. Their service is the worst that I have ever seen. And yeah, I am a pretty reasonible person, by the way. I keep my cool thru some pretty messed up situations. But after 3 trips that took me 35 minutes each way, $50, the cost of gas, my time, and the fact that I have not been able to mix for the last 10 days would be enough to piss off the calmest person in the world. But yeah, I know it pays to be calm and polite, but when that stops working its time to move onto something else.
No one knows if I can fix this problem on my own??
Thanks, Mike

Is there anything like a DIY guide to fixing your decks online? My jog wheel is curiously unresponsive and I never have shaken the little problems with the pitch floundering around by 0.2% when I'm trying to nail it down to something exact. I hate the idea of sending my decks in for repair and having some extreme bill for what seem like really minor issues...

Yeah, one of my 800 mk2s has a tighter jog wheel. Doesn't really affect me at all though.
