Sound Destruction
Anyone know of any cool (hopefully free) Sound Destruction VST?
Something like adding white noise, or just doing a variety of stuff to destruct and get crazy sounds?
Maybe something along the lines of that Scream4 thing in Reason?
Thanks!
dBlue Glitch has alot of FSU modules in it, but you can destroy sound alot better with all the other plugins it trys to include. Bitcrushers, Ringmods, Distortions and all that shit.
glitch is a sweet thing, but I'm not QUITE getting what i want out of it...it could be im not using it the right way, but i was just gonna try a few other things maybe someone would mention in this thread...just for shits.
thanks for the suggention!
sound destruction... my domain
.. here are some FX plugins you will like:
dblue glitch (free) - 9 crazy FX in one, good to create rythmic wierd patterns IDM style. One of my faves.
E-Phonic LoFi (free) - A rather simple Bitcrusher, but it works well. Used to make sound crunchy and noisy. Recommended.
dfx buffer override (free) - this one emulates a "buffer override" and it is almost a must. Easy to use, can alter the sound greatly.
PiWarp (free?) - A little similar to a ringmod, used to make your sounds DARK and atmospheric. Works like a charm.
Antares Kantos (not free) - VERY interesting plugin, basically a synth on its own working as a FX unit. Can use the levels of the input to play its own sounds. Alien, noisy sounds are no problem with this.
CamelSpace (not free) - this one is used whenever things need to get spacy. Features a gate and interesting unusual filters, panning, flanger, distortion, reverb, delay... all in one.
Metallurgy (not free?) - you can get some interesting FX out of it. Has filter, gate, arpeggiator, distortion and much more inside. Can make good sounds but is an extreme CPU hog.
GRM tools (not free) - they provide simply awesome alteration of sound, with a frequency warper, grainalizer and other crazy shit. Unfortunately they crash my computer quite often but maybe youre more lucky. The possibilites are huge anyway.
PSP Nitro (not free) - Multi FX unit, versatile and powerful.
You should so definately check out all the (free) plugins by dfx here: http://destroyfx.smartelectronix.com/ ... they have specialized in audio destruction plugins.. all are free, some are quite experimental and VERY unstable. buffer override, mentioned above, however works nicely.
It's not free, but probably the most apt for what you're looking for is the TC Sonic Destructor!
thanks for all the help and suggestions guys!
