$$$ materialism and cockiness
one of my friends (who i will just identify as X) loves to brag about how much money he makes and what he has (he also likes to brag about his looks too). the thing is, he thinks he is attracting me by it. he told me he likes me so i'm ot sure if he brags to his other friends about his money but damn it gets annoying. he likes to talk about what he owns and things of such. he'll say things like:
"oh you should check out my place. my plasma screen is so cool and it's so much money to live here..."
"the sound system i have is so amazing...it's so good..."
"i'm making so much money it's crazy..."
"i'm having a new house built...it was almost a million dollars..."
"the new girl i'm with, she's beautiful and everyone stares at her" (he's told me this like three times in a matter of one week or so...with different variations of it)
one time i wa at his place and he was talking about his plasma screen. i told him my bf had a plasma screen just like it but porbably a little bigger and he resorts to saying something along the lines of "oh but this is better..."
now let's get this straight: i wish my friends the best of success in their lives. i am very happy that he is successful but i don't appreciate all that materialistic shit. i have a lot of things too but you don't see me telling that to every body constantly. in fact i don't remember the last time i bragged about owning the stuff i do.
is this a turn off to you guys as well when someone who wants to attracts you talks about materialistic suff? or the same can be applied for being too cocky...
yes it is and im sure that a lot of girls dont like that
nothing more annoying that a guy who gonna make u a list of all the cool things he owns
my bf is wealthy....im not ....could i stand him bragging about stuffs he got?

If you have riches, fine if you don't, fine so do I and I don't need you to bring it up constantly. I know that men HATE it when we do it to them because I was dating this guy who was exactly like you were explaining Andrea and so I turned the tables and was being a narcistic piece of shit to him and he flipped and was soo upset.

real men still wear jeans and t-shirts. Real Men drive Nissan Sentras. Real men don't need a sports car to prove anything. Real Men don't need to brag on how much they make or have in savings...
Real Men can make 6 figures and still hang with the people they came up with.
Boys need Attention, Men just need jeans, T-Shirts and a car to get to point A to B
also, there is nothing wrong with having self worth. Knowing that you are special.....just don't let them think thier Shite Don't Stink!
honestly i don't think it has to do with sex...i think you are just either one of those people or you aren't. like you ladies said...if you are taught that acting this way is desirable whether that means getting girls...or having people impressed with you in general you're going to do it.

People who lack personality use riches to get noticed in general [and not just to get the girl.]
I predict plenty of sweeping generalizations in this thread.
But yes, that's an incredibly lame thing to do.
