Arrow Discovered Desyn Masiello

Hey!

Have recently discovered Desyn Masiello. Have heard some sets from him and he got me hooked with his track selection and mixing flow. Is the any other DJs in his class ATM i also should check out?

Just because those two are in SOS with Desyn does not mean that their solo sets sound at all similar. Demi is probably closest, but Omid's solo sets are really nothing like Desyn's.

And Desyn has really, really fallen off in the last year. If you want Desyn's "sound," you should really check out Luke Fair

Yeah, I was going to say, Omid is a somewhat different style - I personally don't like his sets as much. To me, Desyn is more a balance between Hernan Cattaneo and Luke Fair.

I think he's just been a lot less active recently -- he's still top notch, just not as fresh as before. But yeah, Luke is rising and Desyn is maybe on the decline. However, nothing surpasses Masiello sets from late 2005/early 2006.

RarBBISH!

I saw him not two months ago and he was amazing.

Best set I've seen in years.

Better than any sey of his I'd previously heard.. CD, Live set etc.

Desyn is a wonderboy

Luke Fair is just plain average imo.

literally the best livesets I've ever heard

Desyn was badass on friday night here, dropped that mean KU bomb "Tim Richards - Smolder (King Unique Remix)" with a crazy ass vocal overtop of it, and he played RYMD and Armed which although repetitive had the place in the palm of his hand for about 2 hours afterwards, he was mixing on the shitty Urei they have at the club too, flawless mixing as usual.

I would say Luke and Desyn are similar but there is quite a difference between how these guys like to play out in there sets.......

Back in Feb, Desyn played in Sydney at the Laundry and and the set was recorded...... easily the best set thus far in 07, flawless mixing, awesome selection of tunes for 3.5 hours

However, just as the set was about to be released Desyn felt the set was too good and didn't allow the set to be released on radio...... If anyone would be kind enough to drop Desyn and email or message on myspace begging for the set to be released, it would be greatley appreciated!!!

Pretty sure DJs do that all the time, it will probably come up on one of the major radio stations, IE: JJJ/Kiss100/Somewhere on Radio 1/Proton/Frisky etc.
