Review: Andy Moor @ Fluid Lounge

For the time being all I have to say about Moor's set is:
decent tunes, terrible programming.

now for some sleep.

Thought it was an awesome night!

The turn out was pretty bad and didn't look good for Andy Moor, but for everyone that was there we definitely made that up to him!

I think he Had and awesome time!! He's such a joker to playing with the crowd and everything! Such a great guy! Pretty funny when he broke one of the CD-J's and was trying to fix it himself and blamed someone in the crowd for breaking it haha (which I have on video).

Toons were awesome and kept us dancing all night long!

Also pretty sick that Schulz made an appearance and hungout with us and stuff like that! Both of there were such great guys!

Such a sick weekend partying!!

Now its time to finally sleep!

DECENT FUCKING TUNES???
This is why I make my presence on this site random. If you are a trance fan, that set was BRILLIANT!!!
Not only did it edge out Markus as set of the weekend, but partying with Andy and Markus, along with the convos and picture taking..............One of the best nights out in years.

How the fuck can it be a decent night of tunes when he plays all the bombs, with an amazing flow, and you have all the room in the world to dance, beside one of the best DJ's in the world (in a random showing of Markus Schulz).
Thank you guys so much for such an amazing time.

You will get at least a few people back me up on this one, I am SURE there are pictures to come.

Absolutely fantastic night!!

wow what a night..

hard hard hard tunage from ANDY MOOR!

BEST CROWD INTERACTION IVE SEEN AROUND!!
what a joker and CLOWN

Looked like Markus has such a great time last night he stuck around for another night .. showed some presence both on and off the dancefloor.

TAs in full force up close and personal in front of the both.

Overall a wikkid night..hopefully this was a great start to an even better summer.

Randoms of the night: Yohan almost losing his glasses to the hands of Andy Moor

AWESOME FUCKIN NIGHT!

Andy's set was wicked from the get go, I just could NOT stop dancing. There was plenty of room to dance plus most of the people were TAs so it was like a private party.

Was also nice seeing Schulz there partying it up with everyone else. Andy is quite the entertainer as well, accidently breaking a CDJ and trying to steal Yohan's shades, lol.

I can't believe I almost didn't go. Much love and thanks to Jacob for giving me a lift.

Wow, this turned out to be one crazy night. Amazing music all night long, small crowd but one who had a great vibe to it, every one was there to dance. And so was I, and I did and now my feet hurt

sad i missed this.. glad to hear you all had fun!

Hahahaha! Andy Moor deserves to be honourary member of the Dirty Clown Alliance

So this was my last stop on my weekend of total partying.

Got in at 10. Place wasn't setup yet and didn't get rolling until 10:30. If the event is promoted as doors open at 10, I expect everything to be ready by 10.

Both NuERA and Dennis Hahn got the place warmed up with some decent prog.

Andy Moor delivered everything that Armin didn't for me from trance. Yeah, the turnout was low, maybe 60-70 or so, but IMO that made the party better, because you knew that people who showed up there were to see Andy Moor. The vibe was almost as good, if not better than KH the night before. It was like a private party where everything goes.

Honestly, I bitch and whine about the state of trance, but Andy Moor got me so pumped up. One of few times when I was going absolutely berserk to trance in last few years. Wow.
Just wow.
When YearZero dropped, the place exploded and everyone was going absolute bonkers. Actually, that happened couple of times.
There were times when programming could have been better, but it was a solid set. Dude dropped some remix of Cafe del Mar. I have a suspicion that it's Andy Moor's new remix. I asked him what remix it was and he said he wasn't sure. LOL. What a joker.

Andy has such a weird sense of humour, even more sarcastic and dry than an avg Brit. When told he spun an awesome set, he replied, 'I dunno. I just spin some CDs'. The antics on decks. Good stage presence.
I dunno why he gets ripped as a DJ when he clearly has the quality and technical skills to be better than avg.

Fluid is such an intimate place. It's like the Drink, except more fancier a little. Love it.

I guess everyone was just so tired from KH the night before, but there were some people def. missed. Nada, Lisa, Andrea, you girls would have loved Andy. Awesome blend of bits of electro tingled prog and uplifting prog trance. Good seeing TAs out there, esp. those I haven't seen in a while. (Even you, Chris Allen)

Overall: 10/10
Tune of the Night: Orkidea vs Andy Moor - Year Zero (Second Light mix)

PS: Markus Schulz showing up was very cool. Such a nice guy to talk to and supporting a friend. So many DJs are just pricks, but some are just normal guys having a good time.

All i have to say is wow, this was my 1st time a trance party in a long time and i was very impressed with the tunes Andy Moor rocks. I was only there for his set and i have to say it was worth the drive down, solid tunes solid mixing great crowd intereaction overall this nigth put a postive spin on trance for me i just might have to make it out for more of these parties. I also really liked Fluid i think they could throw some great parties there, the only thing is was kinda hot in there with so little ppl in there if that place gets packed to the tits i can see it being unberably hot. Overall the night scores 8/10 !

Great seeing all the usual trouble makers

Fuck ya biatch

Didnt get there till like 1am coming all the way from Kitchener but I'd do it again in a heart beat. $15 to see that man play was totally worth it...My body is totally beaten up from this weekend so I'm not gonna go into detail but that was the most prog trance filled weekend of my life and totally loved it - what a great start to the summer.

Schulz is such a down to earth guy, and moor is a fuckin clow behind the decks...seeing those two in the same intimate club just made it soooooo worth while. Great seeing familiar TA faces, awesome times!

Bed....finally for once this weekend.

To each his own, bud.

Personally, I liked most of the tracks he was playing, it had me moving for a big part of the night, but the programming + mixing was totally off in my opinion.

He played the full like 8min of almost every track, and let the lead out beats play for like a full minute... that totally killed the flow of the set imo.

Also, his programming was all over the place... he'd play a melodic trance track, then the next would be a electroish progressive tune, killing the continuity of the set.

I mean, if you're there to listen to tracks, sure he did an okay job... but if you're there to hear him dj and mix a set, I don't think he did a very good job.

However, his crowd interaction was hilarious! hahaha pure jokes.

Also, I ended up hearing about the last half of Dennis Hahn's set. Deep & dirty tunes all over the place. good job dude.

Re: Review: Andy Moor @ Fluid Lounge

It was a proper tunefest. I had an awesome time. Candidate for party of the year (so far). Almost worth how shitty I feel at work right now...almost

Proper review, pics/vids to follow.

Hard to program when 2 of the 3 cdjs crap out on you in the middle of your set..

I'll upload it tonight, he was play YearZero when he did it too :P haha

Crap..just watched it, and I have the Very end of when he broke it haha..but you can seem him giving the broken leg thing to someone in the crowd, then trying to fix it, then blaming the guy who he gave the leg thing to when he was pointing at him haha...then trying to mix w/ no CDJ there haha

He was like that all night long! Such a cool guy!

i think m2j hit it right on the head. i wont go into more detail cuz he pretty much outlined how i feel.

the party really felt like a house party cuz of the really intimate setting. and andy is a pretty funny guy behind the decks as well.

markus coming down was nice. liek it was said early, he's a really down to earth guy, really nice.

mr. hahn, kudos to u sir. great warm up set, got me grooving prety well. like i said before, ur good at wat u do and u do it well. more support should go out to our local djs.

good seeing all the TAs there. Mahan thx for coming out buddy. thx for the good chats during the night. thats the only thing that kept me going. cribby, awesome chatting with u bro. hope to see u again soon. vlad and pavel, great talking to u fellas as well. yohan, nice too see u too man. drew and dannie, always a pleasure to party with u guys.

lol, that's because YOU weren't playing, Chris Allen.

All in all a good night... turnout was slow yeah but it was what it was and the vibe was nothing less than amazing. It felt like a private party among friends and to be honest I'd rather be at a small party with people that are true music fans than a 6000 person party where people don't appreciate what they're hearing. Sometimes it's the quality of people there not the quantity that make the night. So with that said thanks to those who showed up and made it a great night.

Andy's set was excellent I thought, really high energy quality trance music infused with some housey elements. Nice balance in his set of moods and sounds to keep the club guessing but I thought it flowed nicely. Certainly he's a character and it was nice catching up with him... the Markus cameo was unexpected and a nice surprise... he's my personal fav and it was my first time meeting him so it was a cool experience to talk music with him. I was really impressed with the fact that he speaks to you like you're on his level and doesn't patronize b/c of who he is. Top notch guy.

Thanks again everyone for a good night!

Dont usually bother posting, but absolutely HAVE TO this time. First to clarify few things, those who are complaining about heat last night all I have to say is 'LOL', you should have been in KH the night before. Average set? Average tunes? WOW! You gotta be kidding me, I prob. have heard better tunes in those 3 hours than I have entire BEB night, Markus @ Stereo and KH on Saturday night. Andy Moor defines trance like no other DJ out there, and now I have witnessed it.

What a fu$%^g night! After insanely packed, hot KH room with somewhat rude and grumpy crowd, I was having a blast last night. The turnout was shit, when we walked in there around 11:20 or so, I couldnt believe how empty it was. Well, those who mentioned it being felt like a private party, I'd say I had the same feeling, by any means did not feel like a typical Trance event due to how empty it was. You had so much space to dance lol, you could litterly jump around in circles without bunmping into anyone.

One of the pleasent surprises was Markus appearing in the club. Wow, what a class act guy he is. Both him and Andy Moor. We took so many pictures with Markus and Andy, Markus was dancing in the crowd with everyone, have a video of that, some ppl asked Markus to take a picture of them, I snapped that shot too (him taking pictures) lol, I mean where else can you ask Markus to take picture of you and your buddy? lol Andy was cracking so many jokes, especially at the end of the night. I recall taking a picture with him, saying there will be 2 flashes, he goes to me, 'yeah, that's what my gf says' lol.

It was wicked partying with everyone. Thanks Andy for an unbelievable set, and thanks Markus for being there, dancing and chilling with us. WHAT A NIGHT! on Scale from 1 to 10, I wish I could give it more than 10 lol. It's not just the set that was amazing, it was more of atmosphere that made it a night to remember for many many years. You had to be there through 3:20 to experience it.
