'Impeachment rallies' scheduled across US for Saturday

| 'Impeachment rallies' scheduled across US for Saturday 04/23/2007 @ 9:09 pm Filed by Josh Catone People will call for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney at over 100 actions planned across the country on Saturday, April 28. Advertisement The creative actions include rallies, banner drops on freeways, "guerrilla slide shows" on the sides of New York City buildings, skywriting, and "human murals" of people spelling out "IMPEACH!" with their bodies at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, Coney Island in New York, the foot of the Washington monument in Washington, D.C., and other locations. "George Bush and Dick Cheney lied the nation into an illegal war of aggression, are spying on millions of innocent Americans, and have authorized the use of torture," said Jacob Park, the national coordinator of the April 28 impeachment actions. "The time has come for all Americans--particularly our representatives in Congress--to decide where they we stand. To turn a blind eye to lying, spying, and torture makes a mockery of our most basic values and the very notion of democracy." Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) plans to introduce articles of impeachment for Vice President Dick Cheney at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon. "Cheney spokeswoman Megan McGinn responded to Kucinich's announcement by saying that the vice president has served the nation honorably for almost 40 years," reports the Associated Press. "The vice president is focused on the serious issues facing our nation," McGinn said. On Friday, Vermont state senators passed a resolution calling for the impeachment of both the president and vice president for actions that have raised "serious questions of constitutionality." http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Impea...S_for_0423.html |
Thats fuckin awesome!!!I think there is gonna be a huge turnout for this.
If they were ever impeached it would be funny because, isn't pelosi the next in line for power?
And all the heat Clinton got for something petty compared to the shit this administration has done.

this isn't political, this is a hissy fit.

Best of luck with that lol
I wonder what it's going to take for the Bush apologists to admit once and for all that Bush and Cheney and the whole administration is full of shit. When Hannity says "I was wrong..." or Limbaugh or whoever...maybe then those Bush apologists will stop their support (could those who still support them be those who still listen to those imbeciles?). You know that this administration is truly anti-american when those who accuse those of being anti-american who don't support Bush/Cheney/Iraq War will start calling Bush anti-american (when they realize that Bush/Cheney etc, don't have America's interest at heart, but their own selfish goals). Maybe Bush will stop supporting himself then? Wow that will be the day (I screwed up, I am worthless, I am a mistake).

If you think that day would ever happen, you grossly misunderstand and underestimate the Right Wing Noise Machine infrastructure. They did not build their Machine over the past 3 decades just to suddenly reverse gears when their Emperor clearly has no cloths. Keep in mind, their base is a small but very noisy band made up of around 1/4-1/3 of the total voting block, and you will not shake them from their tree no matter what kind of reality earthquake upends them. They will fall in lockstep behind their Machine to the very bitter end, which is really more than fine by me. I want the remaining "independents" and wishy-washy "undecideds" to see exactly what and whom they voted for in 2000 and 2004 so they'll never lose sight of reality again. |
