actually im not in the after hours industry or the prog house industry, im just jealous that these parties happen on thursdays and i cant go to them all i know is that nothing will beat sander's last night at stereo.

I'd die to see him at Stereo again, duhhhh I think we all would...But yes, he does play drunkeness-funny electro, cheese pretty much...But hey it's great cheese for Tribe cuz it's a freaken alcohol club, not an afterhours...Aggreed tho that the afterhours bookings are being affected by Tribe's capacity to book incredible talent...Kinda sucks. Alot.

How so? Do afterhours book international DJs on thursdays?
Not really. Last time I can think of was Carl Cox @ Stereo that was on a Thursday...But that's not the point Max.
The point is that it's no secret that it's faaaaaaaaaaaar less expensive to book the DJs Tribe books on a Thursday rather than on a Friday or Saturday. That's just how the market of booking DJs works, with the exception of global events like NYE...anywhere in the world will cost more to book a DJ on NYE than any other night.
So, keeping that decreased cost issue in mind, let's take into consideration the fact the person who owns this club still has to have lots of cash to run this club, book the DJs he books, pay his staff annnnnnnnnnnnnnd have enough disposable income to renovate the fucking place 2x in one year...That's alot of money which equals an evidently HUGE budget. I very much doubt ANY afterhours here has that kind of budget to do all that Tribe is doing.
So, when you put it all together, they are killing the afterhours bookings simply due to the fact that THEY EXIST and there is someone behind it all that has shitloads of disposable income and happens to have good taste (imo) in house music and general electronic dance music.
Tribe pays their international DJs welllllll my dear, not that I'm their accountant or anything. It's just obvious that they do because having Lawler like what? 3 times in one year? That's pretty crazy. Spooky AND Sasha? Digweed? Must I go on? These guys are expensive, whether it's a Thursday or not.
It's a sad fact of the scene, but money TALKS and dictates sooooooooo much of what happens to it.
Anyways, I have a final I need to study for, just my 2 cents Max, don't take it as an attack or anything ...Just my opinion...
