D:Fuse
www.djdfuse.com
Los Angeles, CA / Austin, TX
Born and bred in Texas, D:FUSE always dreamt of being a musician. As a teenager, D hated electronic music: "I felt like live musicianship was what real music was, a group of guys all jamming together." But after several years of playing in the live music circuit, D began to feel that the "live" music scene was becoming old, and began to believe that the real art in music wasn't just in playing it, but in creating and writing it; live instruments seemed to have a lot of limitations. "Electronic music seemed like a vast landscape to me. Limitless. When I picked up Nine Inch Nails 'Pretty Hate Machine,' I knew electronic music was what I wanted to write," D:FUSE says.
Always eager to share music with as many as he can, D:FUSE mixes and hosts "The People's Mix"; one of the most popular shows nationally broadcasted on XM Satellite Radio. He's also featured bi-monthly on Q101FM's Sonic Boom in Chicago. D:FUSE is also a frequently featured artist on ThumpRadio.com and hosts a show called "The Mile High Mix" for Delta Airlines' in-flight entertainment.
D:FUSE's DJ sets include true live performance. To add a completely new angle to his shows, D:FUSE uses the Roland HPD 15 Handsonic to play live percussion during his DJ sets- "I'm a performer at heart," says D:FUSE, who played the drums for 12 years in various bands. "This allows me to interact with the crowd on a completely different level." He has an on-going DJ residency at the legendary Release @ 1015 Folsom in San Francisco and is a regular at Spundae L.A. and Five in D.C. With a busy touring schedule nationwide, D:FUSE still finds time to bring his music overseas, headlining in the UK at God's Kitchen, Debunk, Creation, Slinky, and Passion as well as at Club Q and Cult in Switzerland.
D:FUSE's current release, "Prelude to Begin" is an EP of all original music. Released exclusively to iTunes, Prelude to Begin encompasses exclusive mixes and highlights from his long awaited artist album titled "Begin". "This album has been over two years in the making," D says. "It's allowed me to get back into song writing. I've been a lyricist all of my life, and Begin is all about moving away from instrumental tracks and moving more into heart-felt emotion through words." The album was written in studios oceans apart with a diverse group of engineers and producers. D:Fuse worked with Mark Horwood in Chichester, England; J Scott G at Deepsky studio, Joy, and Pete Lorimer at 29 Palms studio
in Los Angeles. D:Fuse performs much of his own vocals and also worked with Jes of Motorcycle fame and MC Flipside of Toronto.
D:FUSE's philosophy is quite simple: "Music has saved my life, and all I want to do is pass on my musical message. I've been handed some wonderful opportunities and experiences in my life through music, and I consider it a great privilege to be able to give something back in return."

| Originally posted by davemolina I wanted to book him in June, but need to figure out a show before I shoot a date. I was hoping he'd bring tracks and mooch in on Cory's night. |

Man I hope you are right up by the booth if I play that night. I just reminded myself of all of the DJ's that you bag on and that you haven't once stepped foot in a booth or behind the wheels. Sorry you feel the way you do about my sound or many others that are very talented that you discount because of some elitist ideology that you think offers value to EDM in general. All that any of us ever hear from you is some snide remark about something or someone that you haven't the slightest about.
Love me or hate me, I am trying my best to contribute to the music and respecting it while doing so. You only offer to slander those that are making an effort to increase the EDM popularity, regardless of genre. I still have yet to determine the genre that you prefer, and don't really care to know at this point. Take the time to recognise that any genre of EDM and those that are making an effort are not only here for your next tab of X. We truly are doing this for the music and appreciate each other for what we do, even if we don't prefer the style that the rest are into.
In short....Until you have been behind the wheels and have done something that the rest of us can praise or critique, shut the fuck up and enjoy what we are doing for YOU.
Yea dude. On a serious note, your starting to seem more like a mere consumer of the industry rather than some one trying to shape it (not that being a consumer is bad...). When I get hate or critic I always think about who is saying it and what they have done to be able to say the stuff they say. Chill out.
As for jonas. I hate your music. Only because of 2 reasons.
1: you have tons of tracks I have.
2: you like wippenberg.
Hahah I'm kidding. U fckn rock steve. I'm blessed to actually say I know and met and played alongside !... dj jonas.
Now excuse me while I go tag wit carlos.

Dirk tried to punch me in the nuts once. I dodged and returned fire.
Wha wha wha, someone call the whambulance! And yes I have been behind the decks and no I dont consider myself an elitist. Makeing snide remarks and getting your panties in a bunch on this forum just makes the day that more enjoyable. And for you information I dont need drugs to enjoy the night and I have been involved with the scene since the last decade. Been supporting the scene as well as actively promoting the scene in Austin/San Antonio for years now. And I dont ask for a single penny for doing that. Why? Cause I love the scene and enjoy listening to different genres as well as seeing that others are having a great fucking time at a party that I helped promote. Maybe thats why I get so pissed when every week Im at these parties and yet still havent won Event Whore of the Year
So maybe next time you will think twice about what is really contained in my words. I talk shite on here just like the rest of you and when I logoff the site and enter the real world then thats just it. Ask the guys that know me that are on txta, im a cool cat in person. First round on me at Dolce when you come down pumpkin.
