Back by popular demand shanny's country selection for us all!!!

Botswana gained independence Sept 30 1966.

Botswana's capital city Gaborone.
Their principle industry comes from mining diamonds.
"Diamonds are forever"
"Diamonds are a girls best friend"
Lets all give praise to Botswana.
Laura says, "This is a winner!"
(in reference to the elephants)
With Diamonds being the main industry, no wonder Laura is all over this country.
Are the elephants friendly and can one go for Elephant rides in this country?
Come on everyone share your favourite Botswana memories, or Botswanabits.
Elephant Riding is still allowed, believe it or not.
I believe it!

I've just gotten off the tele with the Prime Minister of Botswana and he says yes they have monkeys!!!
Not sure how it is now, but Botswana used to have pretty good social programs funded by diamond wealth, proving that African nations can used their natural resources to run their nations.
/random fact of the day
Keep the Botswanabits coming!

Shhhh!!!

Botswana's populations has skyrocketed to 1,639,833.
Thats enough to put them right ahead of Guinea-Bissau at 147th.
Hopefully they can catch Lesotho this year in the turmoil filled race for 146th!
Shit. That's going to be a tough race.
Copulate! Copulate!!!
