Random tidbits about the English league

-Sunderland and Birmingham won promotion to premiership. Amazing what Roy Keane is doing in Sunderland. Probably helps that he can still outplay most of the players on his squad and have the big brass balls.

-Leeds about to get relegated to League One. Funny how a team could almost win promotion to Premiership one season and get relegated the next.

-Sam Allardyce steps down as manager of Bolton. Let the speculation brew... England manager next? Will Bolton be able to find a suitable replacement?

new Bolton Manager is Sammy Lee (ex liverpool, osasuna, bolton & england) and who was assistant. It's a good move imo, when you see some of the 'available' managers eg david platt, Bryan Robson trevor francis, graeme souness, David O'Leary, it could have been BAD!

Either be top 2 teams in the Championship (league below EPL) or win a spot via 4 team playoffs at the end of the season. So even teams that finish 6th has a chance to be in the premier league
