Angry soorreee

ISP just kicked my connection..(frown)
Sent a warning message about abuse of T's and C's and bandwidth allocation.

Umm.
consider myself slapped on the wrist big style.

Apologies to those trying to get thro...
I think it was a bit ambitious!! 1gb over an adsl link from a server at home..

Posted by tu_face on Mar-15-2001 16:49:

no need for u to apologize dood, u and goodnet took the tinme and trouble to put it there in the first place as i mentioned before, just make sure they dont find out whats being transfered for 3 days solid, they'll have the authorities down on you like a tonne of bricks for letting reason go like that heheh... how much is it to buy reason anyway? i know its shit-loads, im just wonderin how much cash u saved me

Peace

Posted by cloudwalker on Mar-15-2001 17:37:

Smoking ..umm..something

didnt i say that this was the eval copy.. must have slipped my mind.....(!)

Obviously you all are going to buy your own full versions of this and hand over 299 (as it is here in the UK) to those lovely Swedes for their time and effort and any mention of unlicensed, cracked, copied or hacked would certainly unintentional...

If ya know what I mean...

Also..have you seen how many versions of Dreamweaver4 and all the other products from Macro... pervade the net!

Posted by goodnet on Mar-15-2001 21:04:

Drunk

tu_face man... you downloaded it on your 56k?!? hehe man now that's ambitious

i only hope reason doesn't start floating around so every lamer can grab a copy like they do with macromedia or whatever. But to help a few fellow tranceaddicts now thats different

what cloudwalker said... unlike photoshop/macromedia stuff which is definitely overpriced for what they do- im pretty sure you could justify paying for Reason... just dont hold that against me.

it's literally got the power and ability of a $20,000 studio setup (or so i have heard) in a single $400 u.s. package (fraction of the price for normal hardware synths, 'cept this is an entire studio rack!)... well that's how i see it. Those swedes outdid themselves with this software!

Posted by Elektrik_Bot on Mar-15-2001 22:20:

King Reason alot better than rebirth : )

reason $299
rebirth $129 or suthing like that...
My connection is to so my connection is 53.333 kbs
gonna hav 2 buy it but cool as hell u givin it away : )
later....

Posted by TraNceFaN on Mar-18-2001 05:41:

Please I know I am a big lammer and I should buy this proggie but it't waay too much $$ all I'd ask u for is, is there any chance leeching it off some1. I know no matter how much I beg u but I do beg u a lot please...
Daamn this prog rocks I want it, thanx for ur attetntion.

Posted by cloudwalker on Mar-18-2001 11:38:

Hello!

umm..run the prog for a couple of days..thought about actually buying it until i tried to run two sysnths one sampler and a drum machine at the same time with a bit of chorus on...CPU usage hits 100% and everything sounds crap..
Then again ive only got an K6-2 450 with 256mb, so i cant expect miracles. When decent CPU comes along..(one day) might actually have to buy this properly, because it is sucha fine proggie..at the moment tho, mostly unusable for anything more than the most simple of tasks.

Drunk Thanx!!

Hey cloudwalker thanx for the info!!
I guess I'm gonna stick with Demo version?! Unless at least I find a crack that fucks up the time limit?
Anyway I thank u one more time =]
Take care.

Posted by goodnet on Mar-18-2001 19:00:

Wink

cloudwalker> i think it's wierd you are having such problems... I have read about people using reason without much of a hitch, and they seemed to have much lower system specs than you do. Maybe you could try going into the preferences and turning the buffer up or something? try tweaking the settings in there...

I can't really attest to this since my setup is an athlon 750 w/128 megs of ram... at most i've probably seen this program hit 40-50% cpu usage, and that only lasted for very short amounts of time.. where I had that trance[]control demo (which had tons of instruments playing in it)

Posted by biznology on Mar-19-2001 20:40:

Yes, Swede thanking should be in order. -and goodnet, some more. peace.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! im running it on a k6 233 with 64mb of ram, its fine until u get two drum machine, two synths and a sampler going, with reverb, delay and chorus... then it only clicks a bit my cpu is obviously stupidly hard heheh

Agreed though, the best music making software there is... sooo good

Peace
