Is it cool?


I've been checkin er' out online, and I figured I'd as you guys, seeing that you are a bit closer.

It depends what you want to do.

If your into adventure type stuff then definately New Zealand. If you want a country with a great variety of cities, night life, music etc the go Australia.

Yea, if you're there to travel or have some fun for a short period of time it's awesome. So many places to see.

If you plan on living there then once you settle in, it can get a bit boring.

Great skiing and sightseeing, highly recommend it for that. Not into the adventuring type of stuff myself, but it's cheap and has a good exchange rate for the $.

some amazing ski fields from what ive heard. always wanted to go there.

I'd love to check it out for a week, but it's not something I'd go spending a huge amount of money on if I had something better to do with it, and I'd never live there.

it has glaciers, active volcanoes and is pretty much smack bang on the middle of a major fault. thumbs up from me

The women aren't that great. Not enough sun.

Yes there is good skiing in Australia and it doesn't cost much to fly over to NZ and ski there anyway.

and of course, no native mammals besides bats, the tuatara (only living lizard with same skull design as that of cretaceous period) and moa fossils.

I used to live in Auckland and have visited since I left.

Comparitively they are alot better in Australia. Not saying that there aren't hot ones. Of course there are, just that the ratio is much lower.

There isn't much good skiing in Australia.

Besides, it's cheaper to fly to New Zeland and back and ski for a week than it it is to ski in Australia for a week.

The Remarkables and Coronet peak are just awesome. Best snow I have ever skiied by a mile.

Yea that's what I mean. There is good skiing here but it's money better spent to fly over to NZ and ski there.

I think when it comes to ski fields, you guys have got it pretty good

Queenstown and Wanaka have way better fields than Aus that's for sure.

Oh and if you want to bungee jump, there are a few places to do it in Queenstown.

Auckland looks like is a cool place to be. I'm thinking about going over there for a semester or 2 of college.
