I'll watch the end of this season just because I've already put in 21 hours, may as well see how it ends.

But yes - I really don't care anymore. This season was pitiful.

me too. this season has really sucked genitals... no one even bothers to bump the Official 24 thread on Monday nights.

But sometimes sucking genitals is a profoundly good experience.

Sadly, this season is not.

i should have clarified. i was referring to dirty beat-up AIDS-infested smoked-meat-smellin' genitals.

fixed

meh i still like it. there were a couple of godawful episodes but overall its been interesting to watch.

They should have brought Audrey back in the beginning of the season, and built on it from there. The conflict between Jack and Mr. Heller would have been great to see during all the chaos of the day.

They really ruined it, the season was so jumbled and silly. They showed L.A. in a frantic evacuation for ONE HOUR. They could have used the evacuation for so many things during the day.

Ugh...

Posted by igottaknow on May-01-2007 22:04:

i got so sick of when jack goes to "sincere whisper voice"

the evacuation didnt get much air time because its expensive to shoot. you have to pay the extras, coordinate everything, shoot on location... i was surprised they even showed what they did, usually you dont see that stuff but hear whats going on from the dialog. this might be the new version of 'movie tv' but its still just tv

they could have just dubbed some new audio over some godzilla footage

haven't you watched a godzilla movies? people are always being evacuated out of cities. they're running through the steets in a panic screaming "godzilla". naturally you'd have to replace godzilla with a nuclear mushroom cloud.

I just watched the first 6 episodes last week, and thought it was quite good. Curtis shot by Jack out of the blue, that was a shocker.

Well, sure, the series is formulatic and exaggerated, but it's been like this for a bunch of seasons already. Maybe I'll change my opinion after watching the episodes that come next.

The worst part IMO was somewhere in the beginning/middle of season 5, where it got really bloody annoying. I stopped watching for a couple months and lost interest. Then got back to watch the rest, and to my surprise the end of the season was very entertaining.

Posted by Project-K on May-02-2007 01:37:

Calling it formulaic is an understatement. I haven't watched a single episode of this season and I could probably describe more or less what happends in it. The writers ran out of ideas after season 2, and everything after that was pretty much the same plot with different characters as bad guys.

Posted by igottaknow on May-02-2007 01:41:

but in this season the writers prematurely ejerkulated and killed off the bad guy like 4 episodes before the end. then tacked on this crappy side story.

Posted by Boomer187 on May-02-2007 01:59:

its only formulaic once you figure out the formula.

I like the formula, so I still look forward to monday nights

I stopped watching after Palmer re-ordered the strike, btw. *snore*
