Traktor Trouble

ok,
contrary to what the title suggests, this might be more a problem with my computer than traktor, but anyway, here goes:

i ve got traktor 3, and it worked fine for the first 10 or so uses, but now, whenever i open it, my computer blanks out to a blue screen saying 'your computer has been shut down to prevent harm, if you have any new hardware/software installed, please reinstall or repair them, or contact system admin blah blah blah'

now, i would understand that maybe its a virtual memory problem with my pc, but it DOES NOT happen with any other program whatsoever. only when i try to open traktor, this happens. i ve tried re-installing it several times, used a different copy of traktor as well thinking maybe the first one had some problem, but no..the blue screen always comes , and i have to restart my pc and refrain from using traktor

is it traktor, or my pc?
any remedies?

might have to reinstall windows? system restore? try in safemode?

check your soundcard mate.
are you using an external card or pci ?
i get the blue screen of death everytime my external soundcard crashes or if i turn off my soundcard without quitting traktor first.
