horry-ble!!!

if the suns lose game6, there may be an asterix * next to the spurs if they win a championship, b/c david stern handed it to them

Yeah my ass. Sorry, but the spurs deserve it. Talented team, hard working, plays well basketball, and just everything that they do it right.

i like most of the spurs... respect to duncan/parker/manu.. and even popovich.

but

i have no respect for bowen. a 2bit piece of crap player who tries to get away with shit, and just shrugs his shoulders and says 'oh sorry' to minimize his flagrant, out of control defense. a dirty player. the nba should try to protect it's marquee players like nash, not let crappy players like bowen get away with dirty play after dirty play.

i would have no problem with the spurs fairly beating the suns, but be honest man, the diaw/amare suspensions may have cost the suns the series.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on May-18-2007 01:58:

to tell you the truth, i don't like bruce bowen that much. he falls into that category of bill laimbeer, dennis rodman, michael cage, and john salley. they play hard, and aren't afraid to do the hard foul. they play tough defense, and do what they need to do for their team to win. san antonio kind of remind me of the old school detroit pistons bad boys. they both play tough defense, and played fundamental offense. unfortunately because of a couple of small incidents, people are making a bad case for the spurs.

No. If the spurs blew out the suns on game 5 then, you are right. But they didnt. The game was pretty close, you gotta admit.

nash/barbosa/bell/marion each played 46+ min

now you tell me, don't you think the suns would have had a better chance with amare/diaw playing and the 4 aforementioned starters getting proper rest?

now they go down 3-2 and must win a road game to bring the series back to phoenix

the most important series in the 2nd round (suns=no.2 and spurs=no3) and david stern's stubborn onesideness gives the spurs a free gimme game 5.

lame

sorry Porky, but I do not like excuses. The better team advances. The suns didnt have a chance with the spurs to beging with.

Lol. Which is why it was 2-2 until the suspension. Granted, the Suns should have won Game 6... but with no Amare in game 5 and a slim margin of victory for the Spurs, one will always wonder what if.

the series will forever be remembered by those suspensions. that you cannot take away

i am sure we can put an asterisk next to this series, just like we can put an asterisk next to last year's finals, where wade got to the line more than 100 times in the series.

Posted by Kapedano on May-21-2007 13:22:

Robert Horry is the man. The spurs own the Suns. I rest my case.

You're not allowed to leave the vicinity of the bench during an altercation. If you do, it's an immediate 1-game suspension, at least. They made the rule after a player came off the bench to try to break up a fight about 10 years ago, and somebody basically broke the guy's face.
