I cant believe no one is talking about one of the most anticipated fights. One of the most important fights in our decade, hope this fight dosen't turn out to be like shit.

Hope de la hoya gives him a good tanking But i fear with everything in boxing these days it may descend into farce.

on a side note I've been watching a bit of that 24/7 program on sky sports here in the UK, and it's quite interesting to see the two camps and how they prepare for these fights.

this will go one of a few ways, most of it depends on mayweathers tactics. he mayweather decides to fight on the back foot always running, he will probably win a boring UD, how ever if oscar can engage him in a wa he will be knocked the fuck out. he is fighting way above his prime weight. italso wud not surprise me if it was a draw or a controversial descision due to the huge amount of revenue that will be made from a rematch. unfortunatly i wont be able to watch it cos i have finals the next few days after. come on OSCAR!

This should be a GREAT fight, 2 extremely confident and proven fighters. Cinco De Mayo...Oscar's gonna have the crowd behind him, hopefully he can take Mayweathers speed and punches and come out with the Victory. Then he retires into the sunrise! Mayweather SR. was his trainer so he has an advantage. All in all whoever wins, I forsee a rematch.

from day one, I thought this was dumb, I think Oscar has been washed up for 3 years now... maybe its just me, but I never thought he should even be in the ring against mayweather...

with that being said, i'm very surprised by the result of the match... guess I was wrong...

yeah, I was expecting the same. He was a LOT quicker and stronger than I thought he would be. Floyd executed his defensive technique to perfection, but there were a few times when I was really worried that he was just gonna curl up on the canvas. I wish there had been more action to it, like there was in that last round--it's a shame to see two guys with so much energy left after 12 rounds, in some way. Then again, it was so well-fought on both sides that it's hard to complain. I want a re-match, damnit.

I made a shit load of money off of this fight.... all from my fam.. a bunch of latinos that would not hear me tell them that Oscar is an old guy, my age and that Mayweather, would just sit back and hit him from the outside.....
Oscar is a good fighter but when he fights a "real" boxer IE; Mosely and now Mayweather, he is out boxed every time. I personally would of liked Mayweather to have knocked his ass out. But oscar is a fighter...and Mayweather's style would of been bout in jepardy if he would of tried to stand toe to toe with him.
Over all a pretty decent fight and I walked out of the fam's house with some ducks..... then I got bit by chiggers when I went camping.. but thats another thread..
