Tracks Similar to Wavy Gravy

Sasha's "Wavy Gravy" has got to be my favorite track of all time. Such a melodic track with an emotional depth to it but there's that hint of a "care free" vibe also. I can listen to this track at the saddest or happiest of times. It's a fucking masterpiece, in short.

I haven't been able to find tracks of the samiliar style however; they can come close, but they're either too ambient or too up beat and lack that relaxing feeling.

Anyone have recommendations?

'tis a pretty unique track

You have probably heard Charlie May vs Sasha - Seal Clubbing.

These tunes fit the bill for myself. They have great emotional melodies, and they are pretty chilled out for being trance.

Brian Eno - An Ending(Leama & Moor Remix)

ATB - Too Much Rain by United Deejays for Central America(ATB vs. Woody
van Eyden Mix)

The two sections after the intro aren't very deep melodically, but I think they are appropriate after the intro about "too much rain over paradise."

Elevation - Clear Blue(Original Mix)

Outset - Fascinating Terytorium(Experiential Remix)

Robert Miles - Children(Original Mix)

the 49th Line feat. Jennifer Grimm - Blue on Blue(Hydroid's Vocal Dream Remix)

Thanks for those suggestions. All quality tracks, just not the same style though. Spooky's "Stereo" would be amazing if it were slowed down and spread apart.

Beautiful tracks. Schiller comes really close, thanks for that!

Planisphere - NYE

Aaron McClelland - Spirit

John Tejada - The End of it All

Niklas Harding - Blue Circles

No, it's more or less a ripoff of "Wolfsheim - Real" from 1995. So I'd suggest that, to stay on topic. Not quite the same genre however.

Bedrock - Heaven Scent (Yunus Mix)

great great tracks but although i know charlie may worked with sasha on wavy gravy i wouldn't really classify those (or any of the other mixes) as similar to wavy gravy

same with petter's "these days" which is also a sweet ass track

but i really have nothing to offer as something similar to that track nor much anything on ADD....although i've heard many people mention that sasha and co ripped off of Susumu Yokota for that album.....

regardless, i love ADD. probably one of my fav albums of all time...and everything i've heard from sasumu yakota is amazing....so yeah!

Bedrock - Forge (original and Fretwell remix)
Pole Folder & CP - Dust
Momu - Sunsicle / Donner pass

Maybe. I don't know too much about this type of music, though.

I know mate,

but as already mentioned it's well hard to match wavy gravy.

Progressive breaks sound so similar but different at the same time it's hard to pinpoint one specific track, just trying to throw down some idea's of tracks that I love to listen to.

On a side note, anyone agree the dum dum mix is the best mix of Little Bullet? That synth line playing the hook! ZOMG.

Oh shit what about :

BT - Road to Lostwithiel / Orbitus Teranium

They got pretty sweet breaks and gorgoues textures to them.

Wow...just heard it. I can see an influence.

A dub of that track would be amazing.

Invisible Inc - Stars (Ambient Version)

Just a suggestion to those who haven't heard it. Not exactly like Wavy Gravy, but still a very good melodic track.

Posted by GrimReaper on May-04-2007 21:48:

I dunno really how close of being similar to Wavy Gravy these are but these do give the same kind of feelgood vibe to me anyway.

Single Cell Orchestra - Knockout Drops (200 Proof Mix)
Cygnus X - Indakasa
Orbital - Times Fly (Slow)
- depending whether you like Orbital of course.. not everyone do
- there is also a Fast version with more of drum'n'bass style beat but the vibe remains the same in that one as well.

Would have been my suggestion as well. Available on the UK edition of ESCM, no idea if digitally somewhere.
