Crystal

New Order - Crystal. I've been playing the hell out of this tune for like three years now and it never gets old. But I've yet to find another track as enjoyable that meshes elements of EDM and rock so well. It has a deep dance groove but uses elements of rock n' roll while maintaining accessible pop sensibilities. Are there any other tracks you can think of that stride this line so well? I know the track was the inspiration for the formation of The Killers, and they're the closest I've found. But man, that breakdown in Crystal is unlike anything else I've ever heard.

depeche mode - useless (single mix) -and alot of their stuff after violator
moby - extreme ways
bt - shame
new order - brutal
u2 - hold me thrill me kiss me kill me

Yeah, this genre is awesome. So easy to chill to, or pregame to. I love D.M. and Extreme Ways. Moloko also hits close to the spot, but there's just something about Crystal... I don't know. I'll check out Brutal though, I haven't heard that one actually. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yep, I've loved this track since I heard it back in the day for the first time. Nice fusing of rock and EDM.

yeah, lee combs remix was good.

really only one of the few tracks i liked by new order tho.

Wow, I just bought The Knife's album 'Silent Shout' on itunes... it's quite amazing as well.
