were not hearing quality stuff like before, now when i hear tracks like rank1 symsonic dumonde remix, forever waiting mike remix... im asking is there a chance for more like it or is it all behind us and the quality club trance scene is totally over .....???

The sound of faux-electro dominates clubland now, my friend. Deal with it.

Airwave is still delivering the goods, mainly under his Planisphere guise.

Yup, the type of trance that you mentioned above (epic/uplifting) doesn't exist anymore, instead, rank 1/above & beyond/fred baker/ etc now just churn out shit track after track, all of which sound bland/similar or attempt to be proggy/electro.

I sort-of agree with the above. I can't really see that style of trance becoming big again.

Also agree that airwave still makes respectable trance - he's one of the few left.

I wasn't calling anyone a dickhead (*HINT* its a copypasta). Sorry

There's plenty of good Trance to go around. It just happens that most of those good Trance tunes that I end up buying are dated 1998 or earlier.

One of his weakest efforts to date, as far as I'm concerned

I havent posted here in forever as well, mainly because we kept saying the same mess over and over again, and here I come back and the first thread I respon to is the same topic, gawd its been six years and we still say this every week, but I cant stay away, yaarrrrr!

I have found a couple things I like, I havent heard them at many parties, especially the ones near my home, but oh well. This was always goofy intarnet beats anyway, those couple years we had in the spotlight were during the .com bubble, I don't think it was a coincidence.

So I dig the web for sounds the same way we always have, and Ive found a few very nice trancy things, and a bunch of bad ones as well, people are still trying at least, but its no big deal that they arent cool anymore. Come to think of it, were we ever really cool? Were we ever really anything more than a bunch of weirdos on the internet listening to this crazy noise?

I sometimes think we weren't and we were just kidding ourselves about it in the past. Sure there have been a few flukes where a trancy sound got lots of attention and made it into a movie or a car commercial or something, and there is that token dance song that makes the top 40 every year, but yeah, its mostly just us geeks, online, downloading stuff and gathering once in a while to flail like idiots, its nothing to get dissapointed about.

There was this one I found, the name escapes me, he had a myspace page though and him and five of his friends were in power rangers costumes, they were painted on their skin rather than being actual costumes though. The guy was like 21 years old, damn I wish I could remember his name, I will have to dig for it. But yeah, just another random kinternet kid, who liked power rangers back in the day, and happened to make a couple really fun trance tunes. I dont think I would hear them if I went to a random party, but we can still find that stuff online in random places.

Damnit, I promised myself no more huge posts, sorry
