Judges needed...TA remix comp II

ok who want to judge? Leave a message here!

You'll have to sit thru all the songs made. And judge which one is the best of the best! (imagine eye of the tiger song in background now)

A great responsibility is on YOUR shoulders judges! Who will make it one day as a succesful producer, and who are the ones that will be bedroom e-jay producers all their life?

YOU can make a difference! This competition want YOU!

I`m not sure if I`m going to have time to make my own rmx of this track but I sure have time to be on of the Judges.

I`m gonna be the Evil judge.

I would like to Judge, I think we need 5 Judge's and it should be split into 5 areas like this


1 Creativity (how the track is set out)
2 Originality( how manny times has this been done before)
3 Songwriting ( the use of Chords, Harmanys, melodies)
4 Choice of sounds ( does the sound fit)
5 Mix and Mastering ( does your track shine)

20 points are given for each, the closest to 100 wins

each judge has to do a review on all the tracks like this and post it on the forum, all the points from all the judges are then added up then divided by 5 to get the out of 100 score

that do you think??

wanted to enter but didnt have time at that moment......

but anyway id really REALLY want to judge.

i like the creativity, originality, Songwriting, Choice of sounds and mix/mastering idea.

But i think each judge should give their own points for this, so you get like 5 scores close(Hopefully heh) to 100 and then do a average of it.

thought it was like

you had 5 judges for creativity,originality, songwriting, choice of sounds and mix/mastering.

Then 1 judge was for sounds, another for creativity etc etc

and then calculate.

It would be pointless having a section for marks on the chord structure and melody cuz each song will have the same

I don't think that would be pointless, cause there's more to a tune than a main theme. We can add some twists to the melody, and even though we're using the same chords, the melodies can sound different

Isnt Creativity and Originality pretty much the same thing? Being creative is being original. if you just use the same old structure as every other song out there, its unoriginal, plus its not creative.

I'd love to judge...if only I had the slightest chance of being considered...*sigh*

yes right, but having 3 melodies playing at one time is creative but its been done before so its not original.

they don't mean the same thing, but as you said before being creative can be original only if no one els has done it before

I think there should be 2 categories of marking, not all this shit.

1. What we believe to be most musically accomplished and...
2. Our favourite.

And there to be 2 awards, eliminating all the uncertainty.

so your saying we only need to do 2 reviews? if we did it that way there sure is going to lots of people getting no feed back at all,

I still think all the producers should know how they went and where they placed or this will just be a waist of time for them, and next time around there will be fuck all entering...

ok what I will do is put it to them to see what they want.
